Had no space in my luggage (I was travelling with hand luggage only... next year I'll drive!), so I only bought a replacement saddle cover for my second-hand Jaguar which came without a cover, two lovely coats for my dogs (one, waterproof, for Peanuts, which resembles a Barbour coat and a fleece jumper for Florimell!) and a DVD...oh, and a pair of UGG-style boots to go to the yard in (to be totally frank my shoes were killing me after three days of walking speedily through London, so I had to get something as flat as possible -- I wore them there and then!
I bought a leather headcollar for Milly with a brass name plate, welly warmers, 2 leadropes...think that's it. Wanted to buy more but i kept getting confused as to where i had looked and where i hadn't, and we got there really late cause of train delays and snow
With the suitcase thing I think she means that she carried one suitcase to Olympia with another one inside it, then when she got to Olympia took the suticase inside out and filled both suitcases with a lot of horsey bits and pieces
I have probably got this totally wrong haha, I was just having a stab in the dark.
In answer to OP I didn't go to Olympia
Gutted, I have now told mum that they is no way she is stopping me from going next year
A premier Equine fleece
A Hi Vis tail wrap
A leather headcollar which I am slightly disappointed in. It appears to have been 'painted' with some sort of finish which is crack, and not absorbing the leather balsam.
The lovliest pair of Spanish riding / yard boots I ever did see - tried on every other boot in the place and none of them fitted as well as these do..lush!!
I restricted myself to a very snazzy pair of leather gaiters, which, apart from wearing them round the house to soften them up, haven't seen the light of day since, as the weather has been too
to ride!
I do rather regret not getting a leather headcollar with my lad's name on a brass plate though
I got 2 new rugs for my boys from Premier Equine (£25 off each one! Bargain!), a new hi-vis jacket (old style so got £20 off) and the Dressage Dreans book by Stephen Clarke, signed by him and someone who's name I cannot read!
Apparently Carl Hester was signing them but I was too busy watching the fabulous French man and his ponies to go back!
How much were they selling the Ariat Bromonts for at Olympia? I just bought chocolate ones (to save the black ones for competing) @ £187.99 inc postage
(well they are sort of white crystal things!)
~Moody mare rugby top
~Hair clasp thing
~Leather balm/polish!
~I also got my program signed by Mary King and Pippa Funnell who are both lovely people
I bought a new everyday riding hat ( Charles owen in pink to wind everyone up because they said I couldn't possibly ride in a pink hat hee hee), a gorgeous new competition shirt ( more than I wanted to spend but I loved it!), 2 t-shirts for my little boy, cosy hat, warm gloves and a lush elasticated breastplate (don't need one but i've been eyeing them up for a while)
a name plate
a headcollar and leadrope
a show cane
a subscription to H&H with a free fleece
some waterproof gloves (although I would rather have bought the nice man standing in the tank of water in his socks!)
