Random question for you guys. What did you want to be when you were little? And what did you end up being? Also what did you want to be when you were tiny?

This doesn't quite work for me because Im only 15 but for everyone else anyway.

When I was tiny (like 3) I wanted to be a horse

Now I want to be a vet

when i was tiny about 5 or something i wanted to be supergirl (from the movie)
as a teen i wanted to be a vet then when i realised u had to euthanse (sp?) animals i knew i couldn't do that, then i was going to be a journalist.
i was bullied at school so 1st opportunity i had to leave i did, not really knowing what i wanted to do, but decided as i'd been around horses for so long i'd go do that. i'm now a yard manager.

I was always obsessed with horses even when very young. I dont remember wanting to be anything other than a vet for years but I knew I wouldn't get an A in Physics A level so ended up doing a law degree then becoming an accountant. Now (when not injured) I'm a stud manager for a lady breeding show hacks and riding ponies and back and produce her youngsters and also breed my own sporthorses

I always wanted to work with horses, but parents were never keen, they said there was no money in it

So I went to college and studied Graphic Design, decided that sitting at a desk was rubbish, and made a career in horses instead

I'm now an Assistant Stud Groom

I wanted to be a jockey but I got too heavy, then I wanted to be a vet but I can't deal with blood so that was out. I wanted to be a teacher when I left school but my parents wouldn't allow me to go to college even though I had 7 O levels and 2 A levels at the time!! I'm now a taxi driver but I do contract work transporting special needs kids and to be honest I love it.

Well, way beack when, I think astronaut may have cropped up.

Still not sure to be honest.

Currently doing a masters in forensic psychology, don't want to be one! not even sure that psychologist is for me.

Dither about vet and change my mind every so often. Still not sure.

Also think about law (did a course though and wasn't sure) and tax consultancy. would also quite like to run my own business.

Would love to make enough money from horses but can't see that working out.

Need to commit soon though.

When i was little i wanted to be a police woman on horseback (i now h8 the police) Then i wanted to be a vet, but it was going to take too long to study for. Then i went training to be a jockey, and didnt want to do anymore. Now at 18, im going to be studying to be a vet (after my alevels)

i wanted to be an international showjumper like Caroline Bradley, she was my absolute hero on Tigre. i was convinced i would do puissance etc.
now i know i'll never see an accurate enough stride for fences that big, the thought of puissance scares me, so i'm very happy to be an eventer. not quite good enough or famous enough yet though...
i'd have loved to be a vet but wasn't good enough at science.

I wanted to be the owner of a video shop when I was little apparently, then a vet.
Currently doing a degree in Equine Sport Science, and for the past few years I want to be a teacher (both instructor and possibly college lecturer for a horse based subject).

I wanted to be a show jumper when I was very little, then a nurse, then a mounted policewoman, then a vet......I am now a conveyancer at a firm of solicitors!

Every profession you can think of, at some point when I was younger I wanted to be!
When I was 13 (all of 3/4 years ago
tongue.gif
) I had loads of really quite unrealistic ideas that I could never do!
Right now though, I would love to be a freelance instructor but I really don't think I have the patience with people

.
Atm though a paramedic is what I would love to be.

Artist is the first job that ever cropped into my mind lol then i realised that i was rather mediocre (sp) at art lol

Astronaut (sp?)
or marry someone filthy rich who'd get me anything I desired, and then kill him and keep all the money!!!!

A Knight on Horseback.

2 probs, though-
wrong sex & wrong century.....

Besides, if I had been a bloke & lived at the right time I would probably have been one of the peasants....

a fighter pilot, a spy, a filthy rich billionaire, or grand prix motorbike racing champion

none of which happened, but there's still time for the last 3 options

although now I realise I wouldn't want to be filthy rich because no doubt someone would kill me and keep all the money

From the ages of 4 to 18 I wanted to be;

A showjumper

A jockey (that one lasted for a good 6 years!! Then health got in the way
frown.gif
)

A groom

A riding instructor

A mounted policewoman (I applied & everything but didn't get through due to joint probs that I didn't think would make a difference )

Trained as a makeup artist, do odds & ends with that to build my portfolio up & temp as a secretary/receptionist to keep horse etc going.

Still thinking of joining the police but it will be in a different part to actual front line policing.

Hopefully that will be moving along in the next few months or so

Unrealistically as a child I wanted to travel Africa, live with different tribes and write a book about it (evne the cannibal ones!)...
All I thought of being was a groom ...but that didnt pan out...but I did have my own horse so went the other way and worked to keep my horse on livery so I had all my non-working time with my horse and could just about afford it(!)....Secretary, Receptionist, Recruitment Consultant, Estate Agency, Marketing blah blah blah....btw I dont rate working in an office!!!!!!!
