As a freelance groom, I was given numerous bottles of wine, but one woman, for whom I work 15 hours a week, gave me a Dubarry purse (£60) plus a point-to-point form guide (love point-to-point!) and she bought my daughter (they used to hunt together regularly) three Jack Wills items (hoodie, jumper and scarf) worth well over £120! My daughter LOVES Jack Wills- she's thrilled!! I've only worked for her since mid-Septemer! Generous or what!!!???

Oh yes, and she paid me double time this morning without my asking, AND she helped me do her horses so I could get away quickly!

A ridulous amount of alcohol, chocolate, a book from one client written by her last husband, a professional photo of J showjumping (lovely present!), was very touched as even clients that I havent been riding for for long (as in only since coming back after my accident) bought be lovely presents.

Sounds much like the people i work for.. they did give me a couple of mini perfumes from Boots, but i didn't like any of them, so quickly re-wraped them and gave them to someone i'd forgotten

well i stopped working for my employer in sept but has been riding out and working the odd day since, but i got a leather headcollar with 3yr olds name on it, a t-shirt, a handbag, a scarf, and cash which i think was amazing seeing i didnt expect a thing

I seem to work for my 10 year old daughter, and she gave me William Fox-Pitt's book, which was jolly good of her, though detrimental to conversation over christmas as I have had my head stuck in it ever since.
I gave her a bridle. I gave her sister a stable rug. We're a joy to be around us lot, not obsessed at all

From my 'day job' i got a £150 cash bonus. From my freelance groom clients i got a couple of bottles of wine, a lovely photo album, with some pics of my two in already, and a new hip-flask.

I got a pair of Musto thermal socks - but in pink so I'm rather pleased! I think there's been a theme going on this year, the number of socks I gave out and received! I'll never have cold toes again!
