hi guys

my life has changed dramatically in the last month!!

i now have a full time job- up until xmas at least
a young daughter whom is nearly 10 mmonths
and a three year old gelding- who is coming home from school- being away to janet georges place and they have turned him around brilliantly!!

now my horse is due to come home saturday- if all goes to plan- but i dont know wether it is home for him

i need help with t/out or bring in as its just not viable going up twice a day for me.

yard one:
stable and grazing £82 calendar month
get your own - hay straw n feed
turnout is £3 a day, give them b'fast is £1 day (£4 total)

fence isnt great
mood swings owner
people are lovely and fantastic
menage ok- cant use it mon and tuesday- due to dog club
just happy hacker yard
livery not available

yard 2:

huge stable and grazing
£50 per week inc 7 day t-out or bring in, hayalge or hay and straw

get your own feed
electric taped paddock
93 acres off road riding (except bad conditions)
floodlit menage 60x35
livery available if i need it
secure tack room
competition yard

i just dont know what to do.... can anyone shed any light??

Having children myself, I like to have a yard that will do extras etc.
So, with that in mind, I'd go for yard 2 :).

I have mine on part livery, was DIY but the horrendously cold winter made it really difficult with my little girl.

Having liveried on a comp yard running regular BD, unaff shows I would say yard 1 - you are going to need somewhere to bring on your young horse and on the comp yard I was on it got to the point where the manege was not available outside of office hours - always either hired out or shows on.

Just my honest opinion, have mine at home now

its not a competition yard as in throws events but there are more people that compete on that yard

If you work out the prices there is actually very little difference between them (£3 per week) so I would say yard 2 no question
