I've advertised around for someone to help exercise my youngster who has an issue with shooting forwards. I have had a reply from someone who seems to fit the requirements. She has been riding for 10+ years and has experience with youngsters which is about as much info as she's given me.
What other questions do I need to ask? Should I arrange for her to meet my horse based on the small amount of info I have?
I'm so worried because although I know L needs more exercise I'm so scared that whoever I choose will create more problems so I know I need to be very careful and thorough with my selection :)
Thanks for any help peeps.

Hi,

Well, unless you meet her, you will never know! I am sure you will get an idea whether she is the 'right' person when you see her handling your horse. Maybe just arange a meeting, then watch her ride in an enclosed space if you are happy with what you see, then see if you can borrow another horse to accompany her out a few times. By this time you will know if this person is right or not.

I have ridden many other peoples horses, and would fully expect the owner to do this. I would also not think it unreasonable for the owner to ask me to have lessons with their instructor, and I have done so.

Good luck
