what do i wear for m+m showing

Hoping to take my 1 yr old sea A colt out to his first show at weekend, its not a massive show but more than just your local show. Was just wondering what would look best to wear before i go on a shopping spree tomorrow!! Would navy trousers be ok?? Was going to go with a lemon shirt, red tie and either green or navy waistcoat. What would be best? Any suggestions would be muchly appreciated!

Ideally beige trousers, and then a waistcoat, shirt, and tie. Sensible footwear (a good pair of boots), and with youngstock I always wear a hard hat, although others wear the soft hats.

Out of interest, is it the Avon WPCS show you're off to? Just having a hunch! (Although I may be wayyyy out!)

Sounds fine. I would wear a hard hat for handling a youngster (I wear a hard hat with mine and he's 5!). I was under the impression that you should wear the opposite colour trousers to your ponies legs. So if they have pale legs wear dark trousers e.g navy and if they have dark legs wear cream / beige trousers.
