What do people think of this horse?

Hi, i think they want a lot of money tbh! He looks nice if you like coloured horses although showing a little too much white for my personal liking. But looks nice and fairly solid small horse. :)

im looking to buy, i also feel he is quite exspensive, but he is not to far from me so seems worth a look as can alway make an offer if he seems perfect for me!

He looks lovely and if everything they say about him is true then I think worth the price and the sort hard to find.

He also looks the type that if you bring him on nicely he will retain/increase in value as he gets older, a safe cob aged between 7 and 10 that height is pretty much the easiest horse to sell!

I always think with horses you are better off paying a little too much for the right one rather than getting the wrong one at a bargain price.

I'd like to know if he's scored 71% in a dressage test why they couldn't get a pic of him working in an outline?? never-the-less if he's as much of a saint as they've said then that alone add's value, if he's what someone's looking for then he maybe worth the money, but as a potential dressage/comp horse I would not be looking at paying that money for him, but then again it maybe just a very poor decision about which photo's to use in the add!!!

Being a cob seems to instantly push prices up so I think that is fair if he is as well behaved as they say, although only 5 and fairly small! Would love to see videos and nice pics :)

He looks like a lovely sort and is nicely marked. Tbh, I would say he is priced about right as people are willing to ay for safety and if he is doing well in Dressage too £3500 is actually quite a reasonable price. I know horses who have done the same as this one who sell for double that!

I disagree with the above comment, and I am not a fan of coloured horses - my sort are TBs. However the ridden photo appears to show the horse working forwards - poll almost at the highest point (where it's supposed to be) and nose slightly in front of the vertical, and tracking up behind. This is how prelim tests are supposed to be ridden. As someone who is not a fan of coloured horses, I really like the look and sound of this horse, although I think £2500 would be a more realistic price.

I agree - nicely marked, not too heavy - great temperament and has been out and about and done a bit of everything - plus tack included!

I'd say for what he is - he's priced about right - ideal mother/daughter type - would do anything. Offer them £3k and see what they say!! Looks a little cracker :D

There was another thread on recently for a green 10 year old cob that had done nothing bar hacking although a real sweetie. That was up for £4k, which I thought was well over priced. Loads up for sale that have done nothing!

Seems a little overpriced for such a young horse who really hasn't done much - if I was going to pay that much, I'd want a been-there-done-that schoolmaster. I'm always slightly suspicious of adverts selling youngsters as confidence-giving novice rides... no matter how much of a saint he is, at 5 years old he has a lot of maturing to do and needs guidance from an experienced rider. That's my opinion, anyway.

I agree with this.

You say he's not far from you, so you could go and see him in the flesh and see what you think of him after. This is the sort I'm looking for too, but I think they've priced him a tad high. :)

I'm with Competition Diva. Working like the picture shows this horse would not score 71% at a competitive show - he shows no expression in his trot and isn't working into the contact. Having said that though, if he really is safe then he could be worth the money but don't go looking at him thinking he will be a dressage star.

If I was being really picky I'd say he doesn't look like a cob. OPnly a problem if you really want a cob, obviously!

Go see him!
