My farrier told me an amusing and rather worrying story this morning.
He was at a yard yesterday when a guy walked in and demanded to know if the ponies in the next field were anything to do with the place. He said he and his girlfriend were very worried about them and had been feeding them carrots as they were obviously starving to death. When asked why he thought that about four rather plump pasture pets he said "They're so hungry the poor things have been reduced to eating the grass!".
As my farrier said, what does he think horses live on, pork chops?!?!?
