What do we think of Equi-Pings?

Ditto above, I just make a hole through the middle and tie them to a few threads, for panicky types its enough to keep them tied up.

For oafish horse just tie to the whole thing, otherwise they just learn ;)

Bought a couple at YHL - for a foal, who thought now thinks its great fun to walk backwards and watch them ping - maybe change marketing direction - toys for horses??? Wish I could get my money back!

I looked at the Equi-pings and thought they were expensive rubbish.

I did buy a couple of these though - after seeing them in our local saddlery:

Then one of the horses chewed through the bungee - so once he had spat out the remains of it, I went on Ebay and found that I could buy 5m of the bungee cord for £2!

So now I can replace the bungee cord and they last for ages! Unless some thieving *** pinch them off my gates....:(

As for the principal - I think that they are a good idea. Having had my youngster have a few tying up issues after I accidentally found an abcess down the side of his frog with my hoof pick, they were really useful - as long as they work - which the Equi-Ping thing didn't look like it was going to...

I quite liked mine, although it did break and horse went for a wander around lorry park at a show (just for a mooch though thankfully). However the prinipal is great. I now use trailer ties in my yard, have them attached to all rings and they are really very good and have baled me out of at least one potential horror when I left my 2 year old tied up (yes I know).

Funny string.... I find it even more hilarious that Op must know she's been sussed, but she hasnt come back to 'defend' herself. She has however found the time this afternoon to post on an Equi-Ping string in Stable Yard area!!! Funny :D
