What do we think of this cob?

Looks lovely, I recognised the road in the pic in ad. Is it Farringtons of Coventry? They have a good reputation if it's them, though some say a tad over priced, so may be worth a bit of a haggle lol !....hope all goes well:)

Blimey - you should see what some of the dealers round out way are advertising at - there seem to be lots of cheap horses about and lots of expensive ones but nothing in the middle.

I think he's gorgeous. Cannot comment on the price because I am Australian. If he were nearer to me, he could come home with me because he reminds me of a big pony and he looks so sweet. I think if he rides well, you are happy with the price and he passes the vet test, go for it

i know which dealer this is and all about their practices...;)...however.....the cob does look lovely and if you went with your eyes open and had a 5 stage vetting he could turn out to be a really really lovely lad :)

nice enough, but be cautious of the front feet, typical upright feet completely unmatched to the pasterns, you see it a lot on gypsy cobs that are broken to drive too young. Also not keen on the quarters, very disconnected. a little weak, and also quite bum high.

Ahh - see I miss all that because I am drawn in by a nice face, see what you mean about the feet - will look out for that in the future.

As I say folks off to see a Suffolk X Welsh on Saturday so will give him a go first.

Aha I think I see where you're coming from, s4sugar. Some further investigation required before I head off up to see them, then!

Ive only heard good things about this dealer actually - wen to visit a mare there with a friend, nice yard.... not to pushy. i also know 2 people who have bought from them and have had 2 lovely cobs off them

100% agree. I'd worry about early onset arthritis in that one. Gorgeous though!
