Pure trakehner, she is a 3yr currently 15.2 pushing 15.3 sire is Hunros Horizon mum has fleetwater vital times lines, what do we think to her over all confo for the breed? I currently have her on sales livery but am thinking of bying her myself as a winter project and to show in hand with a very to breaking her next spring. compared to what I see some of them advertised for she is a stupidley low price.. she is fully papered.
She has paces and temprement to die for and a very lovable cheeky character.

so.. comments, confo for the breed, and holes you can pick, pick away.

Doesn't float my boat. Neck too short, hocks look 'odd' (best I can say without a decent standing photo) and back a bit odd. Would say if she's not selling on sales livery-dont buy her!
However it is hard to say without a decent standing up photos.
Looks to me like a riding club sort as opposed to a top class competition youngster

I think she's a nice sort, looks honest and very pretty, but i do agree with SusieT about her not being a top class youngster...
i think it depends what you were thinking of doing with her and how much she is,
go with your gut feeling :)

Another good pic would be fab. On the ones shown i would say she was a tad long in the back and back at the knee somewhat. Her tail is also rather high set. A decent enough mare for the money (£2k) but certainly not showing potential IMHO, but then I don't really do showing so know nothing! xx p.s. Good luck to you though if you like her as that is all that really matters at the end of the day. x

Ditto this. Odd I think,as to me, her hocks look a little too out behind her putting restriction on her movement and her back being very long and flat making a rather weak backend and neck set very low out of her shoulders.

I do like her reach on the trot shot however for a positive on her.
If she's for a good price, then I think go for it if you like her and she may firnish up with work and a bit of grub. But for me personally, she doesn't do it for me sorry! No offense meant at all.

ARG, need to upload piccies off my fone, the pictures are about a week apart oddley enough she is quite short in the back think some of the oddness may be that she is a gangly baby that is very bum high and was a little bit lacking in conditon.

Id show her over the winter she how well she done and look at doing bigger shows, Ive backed her ie sat on and lead kisds about on her. but IMO she isnt mature enough to continue. Longer term I would sell her on.

no offence taken B, temprement and trainibilty you couldnt want a more genuine baby but the rest i cant decide on.

so you have answered your own question jh, sell her on to someone who will like her faults and all. to get a youngster who is biddable and trainable and only 3 still a lot of growing and matureing.:):)

Have to say I wouldn't pay 2K for a very ordinary 3yr old in this market. I'd be looking at 1K ish for her imo given the market.

A really nice type and very typical of a Trakehner, I had 2 bred by the Hunros stud both by Hunros Horizon. They proved wonderful vertsatile horses that will do anything, I hope to event my homebred Trakehnerx Tb mare.
Is this mare from the hunros stud?

going to be blunt here. The front end (which isn't up to much), doesn't match up with the back end, (not up to much either). The bit in the middle may look okay with a saddle on it. Sorry, not one for me. There are so many out there, just waiting to be bought, buy yourself a good one and dont let blood lines or sob stories rule your heart. Good luck, Im sure you will meet up with 'the one'.

Also forgot to mention that Trakehners are very late developers, my mare didnt stop growing up until she was 6 and at 9 has only just in my opinion finished maturing physically.
Maybe at 3 she is a bit to young.
Must say though you say you have her on sales livery, im guessing you dont own her? if this is the case I think I would be gutted if my horse who was on sales livery had photos and a description of her put on a public forum to be basically torn apart. Will this thread really do anything for when she is on the market.

its ok owner knew I was going to get opinions as I really like her and am looking for some thing to play with and to show over the winter. I will upload the better confo pics on my fone as to be honest i dont see that she is odd looking.. more a 3yr that is going through a growth spurt. I do agree abou ther maturing side of things she is such a baby to look at, id originally planned to get her broken and hacking out but phyisically she is just not ready.

DC yes she was originally bred by the stud.

Just wondered what her name is feel free to PM me, I have 2 from the stud and she looks like my older mare, would know from her name is she is related.
They are fantastic horses, you wouldnt go far wrong with a Trakehner, they do everything, but her confo is a typical young Trakehner, with time she will be smashing.

TBH she looks really immature for a 3 year old... so may even out yet (it's a gamble) she's bum high at the moment which hopefully means that she's got some growing to go...or she's just 'upside down' what do you want to do with her???

Bx

She's an overgrown baby, who will take time to mature and grow. I'd hate to be the offspring of some of the posters(head to small, shoulder rounded, gangly for its age and so on) Who every owns this filly has a good one and if she was mine, I wouldn't be thinking of selling.:):):)

I think she is lovely!! She is only 3 so still go time to mature x

I also think she is stunning. She is still very young and has a lot of growing and filling out to do. I don't think she is odd and as you have said that she has a good temperament, I would do what you are thinking of doing and buying her yourself. If I was looking, temperament would win out any day and most of the people I know would say the same.

I like her and I'd certainly get her for me. She does have long pasterns, I don't mind the high-set tail but I'm used to arabs! I don't see anything up with her hocks myself and I think that she is still very much a 'baby' and will look a different animal at 6. If you like her and the price- get her.

PS, I have a very well bred mare with super confo but she is nappy and difficult sometimes and I definately think that a good brain and trainable attitude is worth alot.

Shes sweet, got a pretty little head on her (I prefer them small).

I wouldn't say she's overly flashy but she is a nice mare, shes young, still growing and maturing, she is gonna go up and down either way and shes unspoilt?

I like her! There is something very appealing about her. Plus if her temperment is that good she will sell easily

I quite like the look of her. Confirmation is not outstanding (looks a little tied in behing the knee and short in the neck) but not dreadful either but she does look to be "a nice person" with a good attitude.

I breed warmbloods and know from experience that an immature 3 year old can look very different to a mature eight year old. I have a six year old who is now two inches higher behind than in front but was stunning as a three year old - hoping that he will level out!

Trainability is everything as long as their is no big confirmation fault that would worry a vet on vetting.

If you could get some photos of her a a foal they are often a good indicator of what she will be like when adult ie. if she looked good as a foal she should look good as an adult.

I would think about £2k for her.
