MY THROUGHABRED IS PRONE TO COLIC AND ALTHOUGH HE HAS BEEN TESTED AND NO ULCERS ARE SHOWING AS PRESENT BUT WE HAVE TO TREAT HIM AS IF HE HAS ULCERS, HE IS CURRENTLY ON ALFA A OIL, READYMASH EXTRA AND PROTEXIN GUT BALANCER, HAYLAGE AND GRASS, WANDERING WHAT YOU ALL FEED,

Ad lib hay when he isn't in the field

Bran (yes I know it's not popular but he likes it, it's good for putting supplements in & it seems to suit him)
Spillers Hi Fibre nuts - just a few unless I'm working him enough that I feel he needs more
Dodson & Horrell Safe & Sound
Top Spec AntiLam

Supplement wise he gets
Equine America U-Gard, as suggested by vet
Biotal Gold, again per vet
Coligone Liquid - he also tends to get gassy & this really seems to help with that

I find routine & trying to keep him as stress free as possible also helps a lot.

I feed linseed and Happy Tum itermitently for periods, but my horse had ulcers caused trough lameness pain which is now being addressed.

Also very good for ulcer prone horses is 'Colligone'' - I have a friend using this and she is extremely pleased with the results. Her horse was very girthy and stressy and his stomach was always gurgling. On this supplement he has become calm and very loving.
