What do you all think, potential new horse ad

Looks like a speedy little horse, in the flatwork video it is always trying to go faster. Don't know if this is a worry for you. Still looks very green from the cross country fences they jumped it over. Also do you want to buy from dealer, always a consideration.

I did have a quick look on there website and really liked Johnny same age but a bit bigger. But looks less green and has been out to some shows. Just a consideration if u do go to here yard.

I don't know what you are looking for but my thoughts on it, in the xc video he looks relaxed green but willing and honest, you have to remember the rider is doing this every day so will make a green horse look good and give it confidence so with a less experienced rider things may fall apart.
In the other video he looks more tense, he is being anchored by the rider at all times, they do not show transitions into canter and very little of the poor canter on the right rein, second canter looks very weak behind, nice type if he is not too green for you.

There are pros and cons buying from a dealer just take your time when viewing try it how you want to and in different situations without letting them rush you and get it vetted.

I think this horse may well be very green as they often show themselves" less green " than they are on dealers yards he also looks weak in the muscles particularily behind which again may suggest he's not done much work.
Of course this may be exactly what you are after in which case no prob, he looks a nice type .

I thought he was lovely with good potential and not ridiculously priced for what he is. The rider did look like a very firm rider, he may be a lot harder work for someone more novice (wish she would let go of his front end a bit though!). Definately worth a look.

Thanks all, he is three hours from me!
My only worry is that my trainer can't come this weekend.
I wanted to go tomorrow, oh how lovely would it be for a hho person to live close to SY59DT and come with me, wishful thinking eh...
Thanks again
Kate

I live in SY4 but I dont really know enough to help you make an informed choice. He looks like a nice honest little chap...and yes he is green but he is only 5. I guess it depends what you are looking for..??

He looks very forward going In the school . My youngster from Ireland was quite forward going when I got him but not as much as this horse so unless you have lots of experience and time , be careful . Seems very honest out XC though
