Yes APHA's, particularly one of the stronger AQHA lines like this one, are ALL quiet like this.....even the little foals. They start off totally quiet and they get quieter as they get older. You'll rarely see these foals acting like goons and bombing around fields, they just don't do that; they take everything in their stride and do things totally calmly.
i think its just quiet too, I can do silly things around Bertie like star jumps and he doesn't bat an eyelid! this was posted else where and alot of people think its a cruelty case etc. i think she just loves her owner and has up most respect for him.
i want her!!

What impressed me, apart from the quietness, was that little baby's compliance & attention span! Every break in the proceedings gave an opportunity to wander off back to mum or whatever but was happy to stay & do a bit more - I thought that was a helluva lot of 'work' for a tiny & to keep its interest & co-operation like that........!
It's all down to breeding; they are bred to work, nothing particularly amazing about it really as this line are generally all like this and they remain like this; very amiable horses, very compliant and they just do what you ask without any problems.
You see the majority of people on here have no concept of AQHA's therefore they cannot get their heads around what I say about mine; well mine are exactly what I say they are; totally reliable in any situation, nothing phazes them and they just work with you at whatever you ask them to do. These people are so all preoccupied with all the nonsense that their horses give them that they just cannot ever imagine having a horse who doesn't give anyone any trouble......I feel sorry for those people.
You cannot get a better horse, in my opinion, than a cattle-stock bred AQHA.
