... when you go into the butchers?? Do you tell them its for your dog so you don't want human grade meat?

Lola has decided now shes tried raw.. shes far too superior for any dry biscuits!

do the butchers keep meat thats a bit past human grade? Surely Offal will be readily available and bones? :)

strange question I know.. :)
 
DG I worded that wrong.. I just meant not prime cuts of steak :) and not bits Id want to eat..

CC thanks :) I just wanted to make sure it was acceptable to ask for those things!! Ill have a wander down tomorrow :)
 
I would buy something else from them too though! Our butchers also own the local garage/shop so it means I don't always have to go in and get sausages and beef I won't eat along with it :p
 
I had a chat with mine when it was quiet and explained what I was after - bones, offal and any other disgusting things;):D:D - they are only to pleased to do it for me and I give the £1 per bag for it:D I get anything from 3 -5 bags at a time with all sort in it:D I ask and they tell me which day to go back to pick it up - simples:D
 
also have a quick check with your local abbatoir. When I take my pigs in to be slaughtered they always ask if I want teh liver heart and lungs, I always take it for my friends dog and invariable find I have bred a pig with 3 hearts, a dozen livers and so many lungs I need several bags:) Your local small holder association should be able to tell you where the small abbatoirs are. I normally leave the pigs head there as well, but I am sure a raw feeder would probably like that, and lambs and brains etc:)
