Ok well im bored, and thought of asking everyone:

What breed/type & colour do you dislike the most?

I think everyone has the one breed/type that they dislike the most, even though most people like each and every one!

Its not a nasty thread, i just like to hear what people personally think :)

I personally, dislike Arabs, I think its the shape of the face that puts me off them a little.
I also dislike Cremello's, they look abit weird to me.

Just my personal opinion, each to there own :)

I wouldn't personally choose anything with blue eyes or lots of pink on its muzzle, but then again if I had one like that I'd probably be a total convert! Also I prefer geldings to mares, although the same rule applies ....... ;)

I don't like black horses. I can't help it. I know exactly why - when I was a teenager helping out at a yard, skipping out stables, a black mare tried to kill me. I felt her hooves whoosh over my head and as I leapt back, she did it again and I got a mouthful of shavings out of her back feet. I had to keep her off me like a liontamer to be able to get out of the door... I had never touched this mare, but her owner had just come and pulled her entire mane while the mare stood, cold, in the stable. Apparently this happened routinely and it was well known that the next person in the stable would "get it" but nobody realised I was being super-efficient...
So, black horses. Probably why I don't really love Robotilas... ;) ;)
Breed wise, the only one I would not give stableroom is a purebred Cleveland Bay. I've backed a couple and I have NEVER dealt with such piggish totally bloodyminded horses in my life. Give me an Irish horse, or a TB, or a warmblood (Hann, Trak, whatever), anglo arab, cob, welsh... any day, I'm not a horse snob, but spare me a purebred CB or I might get the shotgun out! ;) ;)

I did the other thread, got pretty "well my horse is better than yours" so be warned!

I dislike arabs and sec As cos I think their faces are quite ugly. I also find that the ones that are the "breeding stallions" and the really posh ones are actually the most unattractive, to me. I see a few arabs on here I like.

there is not one breed i dislike - the horse is a beautiful amazing animal that allows us to do things that goes against their brain. yes there are breeds i prefer but there again i have always been a thourghbred person but bought a sec d 4 yrs ago and she is my friend my soul mate and after 41 yrs with horses she is that special special hprse so hey

I can't think of any breed i dislike but i am not too keen on blue eyes, not sure it would completely put me off a horse though.
I just have a thing about eyes, there is a cat that comes on the yard and its eyes are different colours and i don't like that either.

I never liked the look of spotted horses and I'm still not sure if I do now but I ride a 14hh spotted jumping cob and i think he might be the love of my life !!

(dispite me being 5'9" .... I always fall for the odd balls and I don't just mean horses!)

I don't really 'hate' or dislike anything in particular as such.

Wouldn't pick a cremello by choice and have sworn off white greys as its all I ever seemed to have (until my current chestnut) and spent far too much time trying to keep them clean.

Arabs... guess they are a bit like Marmite. I wouldn't say I don't like them per se but the two I have dealt with were both a bit dotty with no sense of self preservation and positively suicidal tendancies on the road. Another couple I have seen were clearly too much for their owners and allowed to get away with everything and anything which didnt' make them too pleasant to be around either. However, although this has skewed my feelings about them to some extent I am keeping an open mind on the breed in general as I know they do have some superb characteristics.

Shetlands - although they are bagful of character, they are pocket sized menaces and one can equal more work than a yardful of warmbloods or TB's!!

I dont like greys or cremellos due to their tendency towards dirty grubby beige, saying that I just bought a grey mare as I rated her soo much, so I guess its a preference that can be over come if everything else is right :D

I would never, ever EVER have another section D after the last one damn near killed me. Its a shame as I used to really love my welshies, but that one nearly finished me with horses, never mind just welshies! It took along time before I could think about another horses after that fiasco! I also would never buy a freisian unless it was cheap, to sell on. They just leave me a bit cold.

Other than that, horses are horses and I can find something I love even in the worst of them :)

I never say never! But I do think cremellos aren't exactly the most beautiful things in the world! We owned possibly the fugliest little cremello ever, but he was truly worth his weight in gold and gave my little sister an amazing summer despite a shocking start (he was dragged in as a last minute replacement when my sister's pony was kicked and had to be PTS. She was only 11, and he managed to go through the summer coming in the top 3 in everything and doing all PC stuff!).

He was 13.3hh, and did up to 3'. Always got 70% dressage- once got 3 9s!!

In general, when asked I say I wouldn't own an Arab, Welsh, TB, Shetland or Warmblood.

I own a Welsh Cob, Welsh x Arab, Welsh x TB, half a Shetland and have two warmblood x TB's to bring on. :p

I also don't like bays (too boring) the two project horses are bay and last project pony was bay too. I also don't like black mares and I've had one of those recently too

I couldn't be bothered owning a grey or piebald (too much washing involved) :D

I do like Highlands, Fell's, Traditional Gypsy Cobs and Irish Draughts and like duns, buckskins, Tricoloureds, roans and chestnuts.

:):):)

I wouldn't go to view warmbloods (wasted on me for various reasons)or bays for myself (hmmmmmm, so why are both my riding horse bay then:confused:) Not keen on hairy legged beasties - 4 or 5 months of snow, iced legs, no thanks, or cobby types, and I prefer overo to tobiano pattern paints.

Mytwofriends, I wouldn't personally choose anything with blue eyes or lots of pink on its muzzle,Got some of those:D

Mollylolly, wall eyes! hate them! As above :D:)

Taffyhorse, arabs, :) (avatar) I do agree with the marmite thing though, can't like everything all the time, how dull would that be.

I can't stand Cremellos or anything with a wall eye they give me the creeps and no matter how lovely/good a horse they are I can't get over the eyes unfortunaetly (same applies to cats, dogs etc)

I can't stand any horse that is ill mannered, and Clydesdales. Give me a Shire or Percheron any day if I have to have a heavy horse!
