I contract as a tech clerk for a big engineering company, at the moment I help 2 ancient pipefitters use our planning tool (they're my adopted grandads!) The moneys good the hours are long but I get alternate Fridays off, I've been doing this for 3 years now but plan to do my PGCE next year so I can teach upper primary, I've only put it off for 3 years!
I work for a water company deciding what we need to invest to provide better services to our customers by developing policies and strategies. I'm researching renewable energy at the moment which is great as it has always been a massive interest of mine.
I really enjoy my job, the people I work with are amazing and as long as I work my hours per week I can keep what hours I like
Plus it pays really well for a first job so I have enough money to keep my horses going (it helps I still live at home too!).
I'm a production controller for a big magazine, which basically means I make sure magazine artwork is hear on time and make magazine pages ready for print. TBH my yearling costs me hardly anything each month but I'm hoping to get something rideable in Jan when my pay goes up!
I work as an in-house recruiter for a mulit-national engineering consultancy. I like what I do, but I'm bored - I wont get promoted as I stand up to our vindictive bitch of a boss (who is sat 2 metres away from me right now

I work for an IT company doing their marketing and lead generation. I do this full time and also provide clerking duties in the evenings to 4 schools! So I tend to have about 2 meetings per month to minute and type up along with bits of paperwork in the evenings.
I also run a website so have various bits to do with that too including rpocessing orders, marketing it etc etc.
I am always on the look out for bits of small projects that I can earn more money from for helping businesses with their marketing or sales...not sure how I have time for the horse sometimes!!!
I'm a paralegal for a criminal defence solicitors so i prepare cases for trial, visit clients in prison etc etc. Can be interesting but i deal with some of the lowest forms of humanity and it kinda numbs you to terrible things happening to people. Pays ok but not well enough to keep my lovely girl and pay a mortgage so she has had to go out on loan for a while. Used to work full time with horses for Jennie Loriston-Clarke and some days i wonder why the hell i gave it up, pay was crap but all day surrounded my horses...live and learn i guess!!!
I'm a chartered Surveyor, but not the person in a hi viz vest at the side of the road. I specialise in retail property, deal with Landlord and Tenant issues, agency work, and valuations.
It's OK, and the pay is really good, so I can't complain. I would love to work part time though, what with horses, riding, running, and running the house single handedly as my husband works away during the week, means that I am permanently knackered - who needs sleep?! I could work part time, but OH and I are saving for another house as we want to be mortgage free ASAP so I have to keep working. Humph.
I work for a record label as a press officer and online strategist.
I am un-qualified, never been to uni, and am definitely the most junior age-wise of the office.. the pay is a little lowly, but it's good considering.. and just about supports a horse (JUST!!)
It's a varied job, often good fun - have the company credit card for a lot of flash dinners! Theres a bit of travel involved, and I have to come into central london every day which is a bit of a bind.
Hard to complain when your job ends up meaning going to gigs, and having a good time though!
I work in sales for a Flag company yes i sell flags!!! I work in the key accounts department so get to hang out with the big cheeses from other companies I enjoy it and hope to manage my departement soon!!
I have my own company and am a Financial Practitioner. I specialise in commercial finance for equestrian businesses! (riding schools, dressage yards and livery yards) But can raise money for any other business, guest house, pub etc. Really enjoy it. Amazing feeling being able to help people.
I work with animals on TV , film, commercials and stills shoots. Can be brilliant and I've met some lovely animals and not so lovely celebs...! Lots of hanging around waiting for our turn but generally a job in a million

One of the best parts is helping people to fulfill their dreams in their personal life, improve their productivity at work, or even start their own business.
Really interesting accounts! Could be paid more if i didn't work for my parents, but have the flexibility of time off for vets and farrier etc! Sounds great, it's just a complete pain in the ass losing the parent/child relationship and the monotony of talking work out of work, at least i don't live at home!
Sounds interesting Boater, two of my dogs were in a big german film and our cob has been on stage. Our donkeys and horse are currently available for any film work etc.
My hubby and I run a horse and donkey carriage hire company.Weddings, Films, Proms, carnivals, fetes, Film work etc etc. Hubby also has two other jobs.
