what do you do with your 1yo-2yo's

I think Roo is similar to my 2 yo physically, but Id be surprised id mine is ready to do anything with any time soon.

You mean yours is a gangly weed too? ;)

This is what Roo does. This is his 'thinking' face.

He also does this, although I suspect there's very little brain activity

We handle our youngsters every day.

Legs get hosed, feet picked out. Tied up for half an hour or so. Groomed.

Some days they come in the school with the riding horses and will get to stand on a tarp or plastic or whatever, then just play around.

When we go out for a shortish hack, they get ponied out with us.

We do this from 6mths to 4yrs.

Awww I want Roo! That second picture is delightful!
My cobby baby will be pretty much wintered out with my sports horse, unless the weather gets atrocious. She'll be checked over each day, and can have feet picked out, stand for farrier, stand for vet and be bathed (especially as she has sweet itch now.
Hopefully after this winter she'll stand for feet hosing!

She's a lovely girl, but just so laid back and unspooky- you cant get her away from a gateway to save your life!

so many of you just leave your 2 yo personally I would aswel, there's a girl down at my livery who has been riding her just turned 2 year old since may. Shes not massive at 9 stone but his only 13.2 lightweight.

:/
