I hack, dressage, show and my friend takes her jumping. I also spend lots of £££ on shampoo, keeping the white bits clean.

She is no plod :D, but has not a shred of nastiness either. She just thinks she's a racehorse. :D

I'm 5'9" on my 14.2 mare, and no light weight either.

He's 18 now, mostly just hacking, will do more TREC next year and playing horseball while he's enjoying it :)

(Photo overload because I take any excuse to spam people with photos of my gorgeous boy)

Have to say he is fab :D and such a kind boy.

I do horseball with my cob and my highland - although they couldn't play the higher leagues as they'd be out paced, I will be playing in the novice national league next year - it's advantageous to have different "types" and different skill sets on the team. Mine aren't the fastest but I'm one of very few who can reliably pick up the ball, so I do have my uses on the team! Where abouts are you?

I am near Brighton and I don't think there are any teams nearby but am trying to find out more about it. I might go and have some lessons further afield to start with. I used to play LOTS of netball in Australia and have been playing about with someone throwing a football to me while trotting around. Izzy is definitely not bothered by the ball as my thrower was rubbish and the ball ended up hitting his bum a number of times! Where do you play?

I do think they're ought to be a J appreciations society :D:D

Although all JFTD's horses were lovely of course

haha nice stab at equality there - but J is the best - fergles and Demon have years to work up to his levels of awesomeness :D

(LOL proud, biased owner post :p)

My fabby Coblet is Merlin a 14.1hh spotted Irish Cob. Hes my first pony and is not an ideal first pony (can go spacko at the drop of a hat ad pulls like a train) but I love him to bits. :p
He's EXTREMEMELY forward going and has jumped a 5 bar gate before... hes done pony eventing too. Hopefully next summer we can get out and do some things but for now we're working on our dressage!! Cobs rock!! :D

My Gypsy Vanner does fun rides, endurance, hacking and shows. Rising 12 and just under 15 hands. Bought at 6, just broken and first 18 months took it very steady and back to basics as believed he was rushed for auction. Result is now a horse with whom there is a very good bond and trust. Other is a cob x who is rising 3 and not doing anything yet and won't be broken until around 4 years of age.

I'm sure you'd do fine then :D Most horses seem to take to it surprisingly well. Mine are used to me played football round them with the dog :p

I play with the Essex and Suffolk. Brighton is East Sussex? Most of the teams are in the midlands. There are two London teams, which might be closest to you? They're both north london though, so not great... Might be an idea to email someone like the North London team coach and see if he knows anywhere nearer?
