What do you do with your Welsh X Arabs?

I have, in a rather unplanned way, bought a welshXarab (unbroken) and am now wondering what to do with him :D

It would be great to hear and see what others do with theirs as my other is a ID hunt horse so it is a bit of a change!

Here is a picture of the little chap, he is a real sweetie (if I do say so myself :o)

Cute! How big? They're the best :D

My sisters was a first pony and was 13hh games/jumping/all round great kids pony.
I have a 3yo at the mo who I show in hand. Hoping he will be good in the ring under saddle. If not I'm sure he'll be a nice allrounder.

They're great ponies, they do everything and suit everyone, lots of spark and intelligence without the naughtiness :D
 
Mine is 13.3hh and is my general do a bit of everything pony :-)

We do some riding club activities, hacking and basically just whatever takes our fancy.

He is sparky and opinionated but safe and fun.
 
I had a green 15.2hh 5 year old on loan a couple of years back. He was so much fun and we started doing a little bit of everything. Unfortunately he didn't inherit the intelligence from either breed and was a bit dim but very honest!
 
I used to have a Welsh section A x Arab, he was fab, he was only 13.2 but we hunted him, jumped him & did some showing with him, he was one of the best ponies ive owned.
 
Ooo, so fun times ahead! He is approx 14.1 / 14.2 and am planning on beginning to ride him next year (gives me some time to lose weight :o)

I was hoping that he would be a bit of an all rounder, maybe doing some 1 day events and fun rides (even a bit of hunting if likes his jumping!)
 
My favourite pony at the riding schools was a pally gelding, white blaze, matching white stockings and welsh x arab ... definitely fun to ride, sparky in character, about 14.2hh as well. I loved him.
 
They make fantastic show jumpers and good at cross country too.In fact those i have known can turn thier hooves to anything.More pics please it would make a great thread.
 
I rode my friend's welsh d x arab in 50+ mile endurance rides. He wasn't the fastest out there but he really came into his own on the hills. When he wasn't endurancing he was doing working hunter classes, hunter trials, and hunting. He won the PBW performance award one year. His owner always called him a 'Jack of all trades, master of some'.

This is us in the middle of a 60 mile ride:

The most important thing he did for me was open my eyes to the possibilities of a welshy araby pone and I now have my own.

I have had 2 Welsh x Arabs now, both 14hh geldings, the best horses ever owned, temperament wise so easy, love them, have had Haflingers, TB, different x breeds, none live up to either of the Welsh x Arabs have had.
