what do you do ??

What do you do to new bridles ? or do you just clean as usual ?

Just bought a colleigate(sp?) one, have wiped clean and used belvoir tack conditioner stage 2

I've just bought a collegiate bridle, what did you think of yours? Mine is a full padded headpice Black flash, however I've found it to be a 'small' Full size (and my horse is a small full/cob), noseband only fits with holes added at the bottom. I used stubben haramol (sp?) leather conditioner stuff to treat it first, then just been wiping and soaping it as usual.

I have just got the Hunter one, in warmblood. My horse ia an extra full and must admit have only managed so far to measure against his current but it seems bigger.

seems pretty good quality, and pretty soft already.

WIll give it one more clean and then use it tomorrow. You sound like me, sod whether it fits, make holes in it and then if need be buy another one !!! he he

I forgot to say also... I love my bridle!! (despite the fit), it is nice leather isn't it, v soft. I also really liked the reins that came with it.

I usually oil it when it is brand new, then clean it as normal.
