Ah well, the holiday had to come to an end sometime.

I am also studying for a degree.

I bought the ponies with scholarship/sponsership, enter with sponsership money, and keep them by working part time for YO and they dont need hard food! Plus in an emergency my parents would probably help out.

I'm a writer - bought Tobago with the first big royalty cheque from my first bestseller! That book is still paying the livery bills etc. while I struggle to write the next one... He also earns some of his keep in stud fees, bless him!

Oooh - which stud do you work at GigglePig? I remember you posting about this just before you started the job - how's it going?

Self employed, me and husband own a feed/tack/pet/agricultural merchants (small version!) and also have a pet food franchise. I am in the shop 5.5 days a week, and he is out delivering most of the time. It pays the bills, and being self employed can make your hours flexible (sometimes).

The benefits are talking to horsy people all day! Hello henryhorn!

Factory design and simulation specialist in aerospace (civil and defence), merchant marine and submarines sectors of my company's business.

The pay is fairly good, the hours and good and flexible (I finish at 340 in summer and 310 in winter), plus I get the fun of criticising other people!

Project Manager for Web Development company - OH is Senior Web Developer for same company. It's good becuase it's flexible and although OH works extra hours, I don't have to much. Money is reasonable and set to improve as company grows, which it is doing rapidly! I've got my eye on an Oakley box!!!
