What do you feed your competition horses at the moment?

My eventing pony mare has:

half a big scoop of Baileys No. 4
A big scoop of Alpha-A
1 scoop of Equivite vitamin supplement once a day
2 scoops of Superflex a day

And then my two youngsters have the same minus the superflex, and my obese semi-retired show pony has a handful of alpha-a plus all the supplements, just to keep him happy

Well my thoroughbred x welsh mare, lady, gets a scoop of Baileys cool mix and a scoop of happy hoof in the morning. She then goes out for about 8 or 9 hours then she is gets a scoop of cool mix and a scoop of happy hoof when she comes in. She is then ridden and gets some hay through the night. This amount of feed keeps her looking great through the winter, in the summer months when i am competing more often she will probably get more feed, possibly top line conditioning cubes or mix. My 16.2hh thoroughbred x sports horse gets the same as lady but she gets a half a scoop of cool mix, a scoop of top line conditioning cubes and a scoop of happy hoof.

Nothing exciting really -
One gets no hard feed bar a handful of mix in her chaff as she is a complete psycho killer creature with way too much energy which she puts to bad use most of the time
Another has mollichaff herbal and a competition mix, another mollichaff again and build up cubes.
They all have oil and blood salts too and are feeling very chirpy!

My boy has approx 22lbs in two haynets of good quality haylage a day and is turned out every day on fairly good grass for 3/4 hours. He is fed twice a day on:

1 scoop Dengie Hi-Fi Lite
1 scoop Spillers Response Slow Realease Competition Cubes
1 big mug of Speedibeet
Glug of Linseed Oil in mornings and a couple of carrots

Ive gt a 5yo tb
he gts
1 scoops alfa a
3/4 scoop of BN17
1/4 of Pasture Mix
1 scoops of sugerbeet
1 scoop of barley rings (wen available)

Frankie has a very specific feeding regime as he is allergic to alot of things. He is Currently Novice eventing.

Stabled at night with adlib hayledge turned out all day (10-12 hours) and fed one feed a day (evening).

Large scoop unmollased chaff
small scoop barley rings
6 slices of wholemeal bread
large scoop (once soaked) speedi beet
Carrots
vit and min supplement
NAF Echinecca
Liquid Aloe Vera
Huge glug of Corn oil
Smaller glug or linseed oil

He is fed this all year round, if he puts any weight on the oil and speedibeet is cut down accordingly.

my ID xTB boy is on 3/4 scoop alfa-a original plus 1/3 scoop dodson and horrell competition mix. Mixed with a bit of sugar beet. Twice a day. He is out every day and in at night.

Have recently changed our crews feed,

intermitant turn out few hours a day 4/5 days a week
now on good quality haylage, Equifeast Winning Egde Gold, or Daily Essential care as addative,
Alfa A
Oats
Barley
Maize
good glug of oil

decided on the change to a more 'traditional' method of feeding after a huge discussionn with OH and local feed merchants price list!

the 5 horses that are being fed this way havent looked so good/felt as good for ages, nothing else has changed with their management, so overall very happy and have some spare change in our pockets

I don't feed mine any hard food, she is in a small bare paddock and gets haylage. She is actually on the Rocko diet (horse she shares a field with) as he doesn't really let her eat too much of the haylage and she is finally starting to lose some weight.

She is a natural born fatty with loads of energy.

slightly lean Welsh Cob draghunting fit and needing to put on a bit of condition, plus very fussy and sensitive to starch:
breakfast is
1.5kg of TopSpec Super Conditioning Flakes
0.5kg TopSpec CoolCondition cubes
handful of Alfa-A Oil
handful of readigrass
large Stubbs scoop of molassed sugar beet

dinner is:
1.6kg TopSpec CoolCondition cubes
500grams of TopSpec Comprehensive Feed Balancer
1kg Bailey's Outshine
2kg Saracen Re-Leve
large stubbs scoop sugar beet
large handful alfa-a oil
large handful readigrass

makes a huge evening feed but he just picks at it for ages and it's all fibre based so no worries about feeding more than 2kg in one go.

He has heaps and heaps of energy ,just not enough weight!

5yo TBx mare
ridden or lunged once or twice a day
competes once a week or every 2 weeks
shes out all day on bare field with haynet
in at night with a small net
fed once a day now-
baileys stud balancer
hifi

looks fab now shes lost a wee bit of weight.

I am trying to feed mine 1 scoop of calm and condition, 1 scoop of Alfa Oil and Propell Plus but he wont eat anything at the moment other than grass

So is now out for about 20hrs a day.

Anyone got any ideas for an "all inclusive" feed which is highly palatable for a fussy git?!!
