absolutely as little as possible.
2 x greedy so have a handful - literally what I can pick out of the bag in my hand of top chop zero to wet with mineral / power balancer
1 x fussy - has an egg cup full of grass nuts with a splash of water to mix the powder in with. He occasionally turns his nose up at in and I'll add genuinely 4-5 pony nuts just to get it eaten.
Feeding fat horses just seems like burning money to me.
the fussy one refuses to eat top chop zero - so he has a large tub of it in his stable and a tiny bit of haylage - if he chooses to be in for 5-6 hours and not eat any of the top chop - that is his choice. He has access to quality forage and makes a decision not to eat it (same with me and rice cakes!)
