Well - current lot are aged from 1 week to 5 weeks. All are eating grass, and haylage, AND trying to nick Mum's food. Mums get Graze-on and a little Bailey's Stud Balancer - plus Sure Limb for extra mins/vits. They also have Horselyx blocks - which foals love.

The youngest foal (a big colt) lies in a pile of haylage for ease of stuffing it in his mouth as fast as possible!

I don't feed my foals - being Irish Draughts the big risk is fast growth leading to OCD - and at weaning they get a TINY ration of Graze-on and Bailey's Stud Balancer - chiefly as a carrier for their Sure Limb - plus haylage.

As the average height of my yearlings is around 15 hh - I'm more than happy they're getting all they need.
