What do you feed your yearlings and two year olds?

Allen and page fast fibre (basically a mash), alfa A and garlic twice a day. No special stud mix or concentrates - this is for my 7 month old NFxTb colt and 17month WbXTb filly. They are both good doers.

i feed my 18month old gypsy vanner, 1 scoop of ready grass and 1/4 scoop of baileys stud cubes, at the minute its soaked to almost a soup as hes not eating properly due to his hoof hurting him and teething.

Mine is 20 months and she gets Hi Fi, Suregrow, Youngstock Mix, Sugar Beet, Lucerne nuts (soaked) garlic powder and Benevit Advance (Vit supplement)
It sounds alot but she only gets small amounts of this mixed together.
She wont eat the Suregrow on its own so thats why she has the Benevit.

My 18 month old 7/8 TB has ad lib haylage at night, good grazing all day and is fed two feeds a day each consisting of 1 scoop Alfa A with 1 1/2 lbs Suregrow and a little sugar beet to mix.She looks fantastic and her temperament is calm

OMG! mine is possitively starved in comparison! My 16hh+ 2y/o CB is on add lib hay (about 16lb over night)and a handful of hi-fi lite and alfa a lite + a cup of high-fibre cubes and half a scoop of speedi beet twice a day with Equivite supplement added and apples and carrots...

My boy was fat when I had him as a 6 month old so he was never fed much from the start! The previous owner fed him the reccomended amound of stud cubes which was loads so I put him on hi fi and a youngstock supplement over the winter and just grass in summer.

At 18 months he had safe+sound with youngstock supplement through the winter- grass in summer.

Now at 2.5 yrs hes on safe+sound as its winter with top spec lite (as reccomended by them).

He has always been a good doer even now staying out some nights, even if frosty with no rug on!

My vet told me that grass alone was enough to supply the vits and mins he needs to grow in summer, obviously winter grass is crap which is why the top spec + supplements in winter.
