What do you feed yours?

15.3hh 13yrs idxtb ridden 6-7 times a week for 45 mins schooling lots of trotting and cantering. lives out 247

1/2 small scoop chaff
1/2 small scoop competition mix
1/4 small scoop kwik beet

twice a day with hay

she doesnt have much food tbh as good doer - and is looking about right now weight wise. she only has mix for a bit of oomph!!

eta - she is also fully clipped living out (with shelter) to help keep weight off!

16.2hh TB X worked 5 days a week - hacking up to 2 hours a day and reasonably fit.

Am
Half Scoop D&H Fibre Cubes
Half Scoop Alfa A

PM
Half Scoop D&H Fibre Cubes
Scoop Alfa A Oil
Handful of D&H Build Up Cubes
Vitamin Suppliment

And around 17lbs of haylage overnight (can't get any more in to him).

He looks just about spot on, and is a pretty good doer generally. Just that small amount of Build Up Cubes does wonders for his topline though, and condition generally.

16.2hh Irish Draught worked 6 days a week - hacking 3/4 times a week for up to 2 hours at a time and schooling/jumping up to an hour each time

AM- 1/4 scoop of sugarbeet, 1/4 scoop of competion mix handfull of hifi good doer( only used to stop him rushing his feed)

PM- 1 scoop sugarbeet, 1/4 scoop competion mix, 2/3 handfulss of hi fi good doer, Biotin and Garlic and EnerG suppliments

and he gets 2 hay nets at night

Both my boys get the same. 16.1 WelshxHann 15yo in light work, and 16.3 IDx 15yo in hard work (when its not snowing!)

Turnout on reasonable grass 12h per day in all weather.
Ad lib haylage over night, plus haylage in shelter in bad weather.

1kg Alfa Oil
1.5kg Readymash extra
half bucket of speedibeet (when soaked)

electrolytes for Ron when he's hunting too.

9yo 17h Idxtb, currently on light duties (1 x hack, 1 x school, 2 x lunge per week) but will build up to more work, providing he stays sound!!!!

a.m.
2 scoops hifi lite (big round scoops)
3 scoops speedibeet (smaller square scoop)
veg oil

p.m.
4 scoops hifi lite
5 scoops speedibeet
veg oil

10hrs turn out during day, between 10 and 12k of hay @ night.

He is barefoot so I feed him a high figbre/low sugar diet, he has a food aggression issue and seems very happy with his large feeds that take him ages to work through.

Horse: 15.3, 17y.o. 3/4 ID 1/4 TB, not in work ATM, out 24/7, rugged up, fed once a day.
3/4 scoop (Stubbs scoop) molassed sugar beet
1 scoop of countrywide conditioning cubes/mix
1 scoop of Alfa-a
A glug of veg oil
Carrots and apples
Adlib hay.
He needs conditioning feed even though he is not in work.

Pony: 12.1, 11y.o. sec B mare, not really in work, out 24/7.
A bit of molassed sugar beet
3 quarters of a lb of countrywide horse and pony cubes
2 handfuls of molli chop
Carrots, apples and veg peelings
1 to 2 slices of hay.

ETA they only have tiny token feeds in the summer as they both get fat!

All mine are fed ad lib hay/grass and a token feed of Fast Fibre.
Either companions or light work atm

7 horses all either resting or in light work:
1 kilo each Primero Equine Total
(3 greediest also have a bit of Speedi-beet and Hi Fi Lite added to bulk out)
Ad lib hay

Both mine are heifers, so on hifi lite only, and steamed or soaked hay, both in relatively light work at the moment as Im not in the best of health.

15.3hh, 15yr old arab x trotter in hard work (ridden every day - either hack for 1hr30 -2hrs, or school for an hr), good doer:

Am: 1 small scoop 'Luzerne' - grass based like chaff but looks more like sugar beet, no sugar in it at all! but that is soaked in hot water and puffs up. 1 small scoop of Baileys Cool Mix ( don't like him on this, prefer him on the cool cubes).

Pm: 1 small scoop 'Luzerne', 1 small scoop mix, Arthri Aid, carrots, salt, oil, and anything else that he 'needs'!

16.2hh, 8yr old KWPN, only been in work 5 weeks after having nearly 5 months off. So walking 6 days a week and have just added a little bit of trot, taking him into the school on Sunday.

Am: 1 small scoop 'luzerne', 1 scoop mix (baileys again) and a normal size scoop of Alfa A. (would normally have Top-Line but couldn't get any)

Pm: 2 small scoops 'luzerne', 1 small scoop mix, and 1 scoop of Alfa A, Red Cell, carrots....plus all other things that he needs!

The other 2 get a tiny hadnful of puffed up 'luzerne' Am and Pm! One is out of work, and the other is only on light work atm.

17hh IDxTB, usually worked 5-6 days per week though I'm struggling to manage that ATM with work and other committments. He hacks, schools, jumps and will start doing some more XC soon, plus he has one or two walker sessions per week.

He's turned out from about 8am til 3.30/4pm every day, they have hay in the field (maybe a slice or so each) at about mid morning. Over night he gets one large haynet of 50/50 hay/haylage. I've cut it down recently as he's been leaving quite a bit. Now he just has a little bit left in the mornings. He has a small net when he comes in at 4pm, I usually get to yard about 6pm to ride, then he has his big net before I leave at say 8pm.

His daily feed ration is about 1 scoop of chaff (cheapy Countrywide alfalfa chaff), 1/4 scoop Dengie High Fibre Nuts, 1/4 scoop sugar beet (molassed) plus JointFX supplement and currently D&H balancer. He has the hard feed split between two feeds, though evening feed is bigger, and his supplement and balancer are given in evening feed.
