What do you find is the best joint supplement?

I used to use soluble superflex on my old shettie when his arthritis flared up. Seemed to help him, but lots of new things have come out since then!

I'm trying the new Kentucky joint liquid from equine America at the mo but only used it 2 days. Corrtaflex is excellent but £££ , used to use super codlivine joint supp which was good maintence but not if there is lots of stiffness. Equine America glucosamine also good and good price

Ive tried all sorts on my arthritic mare and a couple of years ago found one that really worked for her and she hasnt been off it since. Its premierflex from Equine Answers. Pretty sure you can only buy it online but i highly recommend, its also fairly cheap in comparison to some.

I've been using Equimins Flexijoint on my 23 year old NF pony. I'm sure it's working as she had taken a dislike to having her hind hooves picked out and would make a right fuss not wanting to pick them up, started her on Flexijoint and she's now more than happy to lift her feet right up. Could be co-incidence but maybe this stuff does work :D

I swear by Cortaflex HA liquid. Been using it a year on arthritic pony and he is so much better. I do combine it with Danilon as and when needed. Also tried premierflex but it did nothing for my boy.

I've found Cortaflex (HA) to work wonders, but is pricey! I've recently swapped to NAF's Superflex (as a lot of people compared the two) to try and save some pennies, it seems to be working well - not as amazingly as the cortaflex but its definitely helping.

I have been using Tumeric. I use it myself and noticed the difference so have put one of my elder horses on it.

I've been using Cortaflex HA liquid for past couple of years. I bought the large 3.8L container. Expensive outlay but doesn't work out too expensive on a day by day basis for the time it lasts my one horse who's on it. Cannot comment if it works or not since it's being used as a profilactic on my 5 year old bench-kneed mare. Hope it's helping!

Honestly - Riaflex

I will be honest and say that I share a yard with the owner of this company but I can honestly say that the product I use is very, very good.

Do have a look at the website and get in contact with Kate if you want to talk anything through. I would say the main difference between Riaflex and others on the market is that it contains a much higher proportion of the active ingredients.

If you want an impartial review of it I know that JanetGeorge raves about Riaflex as it turned one of her Geldings around (amongst lots of other care and attention I am sure!)
