) but it looks overbent all the time it is doing flatwork to me?

I agree he looks like he has been in draw reins, he is only 3 and I wouldn't want to see a 3 year old going like that because it can take a long time to retrain them. There is no movement in his tail and his movement is not great probably been hampered by his training?

Phew, thank goodness someone could see what I meant

The only time I liked him was when he was stretching out in the free walk bit, he looked better to me then?

Although I am obviously not much judge of a horse cos I didnt think that much of his movement when he was loose schooling either

I need to watch again then, cos it didnt seem to have the length of stride I would look for? Great pace but just not enough length?

But I DO know nothing

ETS - and yeah, dressage is that bit I do which allows me to go XC

Not at all...his movement without saddle....awesome,with rider no natural movement over his back(relaxed, not),overbent and not using backnd at all......with correct schooling could be nice as he moves well naturally...why people think that head tucked in means working well

I couldn't agree more. It was overbent nearly the whole time and I def wasn't that impressed by its trot when free schooled at the begining. Not enough movement up front for my liking.
