i hate to be a pedant but i really can't help it, very very sorry... "exaggerating", please!

umm, i'm looking forward to an Indian Summer in the middle of Autumn, if at all possible!

Christmas getting closer is about the only good thing about Autumn, I think. I'd rather Summer went on forever, as long as it rained a lot of nights so the ground didn't go rock hard!

i love those crisp autumn mornings where the sun is shining, the leaves are falling and the grass is covered in lots of dew, something about the air on these days that i just love.!!

Autumn is my favourite season.

I love the lack of pressure to enjoy the summer while it is here, you can relax and enjoy the lovely mellow days with that wonderful zing in the air in the mornings.

I adore:

The pheasants coming to roost and making that wonderful sound
Trees turning
Lighting the fire
Getting the horses in at night rather than during the day and getting them all snuggly
Seeing the stables lights on when it is dark

I hate the thought of Christmas though. Have always hated it and cant wait till its over. Old misery, aren't I?!

I *LOVE* Autumn.....

Watching the dogs running about in the leaves, turning horses out in their rugs so they're cosy (but still able to leave them out all day cos there's no mud yet!)

The truly 'fresh' smell that you get on chilly mornings. Lighting the fire in the evenings.

I'm officially sad - and I don't care

The weather will probably be better than the summer....... not difficult though

................apart from that nothing! The nights get darker, it gets colder & wetter & it will be 6 months or more before the lighter nights come again

I like chilly autumn mornings when its crisp and clear.
I like the smell of fires.

I hate the shooting season when all you can hear is the idiots in the land next to us and shotgun pellets raining off the roof, wet horses, mud and having to summon up enthuiasm to ride in the rain.

Please please can we have an indian summer this autumn!
