I most love the sound of hay being munched when all the horses are tucked up for the night and being whinnyed at (even if it is because I am carrying a pile of feed buckets).

Gypsy and Jethro's kisses, Amber's cuddles, Septre licking my hand after she has had a treat and being groomed/nuzzled by Sirrius when I am stroking him.

The immensely proud feeling you get when you've been working on something for ages, and it just finally clicks, and watching the ponies at the riding school galloping round the field together-i could watch them all day

I used to have a very stressful job with heavy responsibilities. On some occasions I would pass where my horse was stables & I'd just park up at the side of the road & watch the horses eating in the paddocks. I found it like therapy...all tensions just left as I watched them grazing without a care in the world.

gallopiing over a massive field and them just loving it, and at dusk in the summer sitting in there field y they eat grass -- perfect

sitting in the middle of a field on a summers day, and just watching them graze and they will come up to you and say hey. Or after walking courses xc etc, just sitting on the jumps and chatting for hours. the way my horse silently nickers when i call over to him. sitting in my car at a big show, annd calling to him in the stable block and he neighed back.

forgot about mad moments in the field- thats always great to watch!

Yep when something goes right- even if its just for a few seconds.

Just seeing horses be horses.

How you can watch them interact with each other for hours.

The look in a good horses eye.

Youngsters and their innocent, cheeky faces.

The smell of a warm horse.

When you have those "at one" moments when your horse does something for you when all you did was breathe in or tilt your head or even just think something and it happens. Soooo sensitve.

Oh gawd, I could go on and on and on.

I guess the very best feeling is looking out in the field and seeing your horse/s looking happy, healthy and gleaming in the sunshine.

I love my horses

I love just watching them, I had Thursday off this week and i just went up and sat in Lottie's field watching her, i could have sat there for hours

So many reasons really, my mare is very special to me, she is very pretty and kind and so forgiving, i love the moody faces she can pull, she is so expressive facially, i love her soft nose, hairy beard and big bum and not forgetting her hairy, feathery legs, etc etc etc

I could go on no doubt.......

Sitting with Gen in his stable when he is laying down. He puts his head in my lap.

Watching him roll in the mud when I have spent ages brushing him, he loves to wallow in mud bless him.

The little white bit on his nose ... its so kissable.

Watching Mike school/compete him.

I like youngsters that are wild and scared of you when you first get them, over time their confidence and trust builds, over years when they compete and win prises and cups , you then look back and remember what they were like when you first got them and how they have changed and achieved many things....

"soft nose, hairy beard and big bum and not forgetting her hairy, feathery legs, etc etc etc"

Sounds like some of the other owners at my yard!!!!! lol

I love the way you spend ages making their bed perfect and they just walk over it and ruck it all up...... they just dont have a sense of remorse :-(

And the best bit is finding the scratchy patch on their neck and having them scratch you back..... .till they scratch a bit too hard!!!

the fact that you can turn a corner with them and they make you feel amazing........finally getting the bond with a horse that is quite nervous - and him giving you kisses over the stable door.....warming your hands under their rug.

the fact that they're there when you feel really really down and don't ask stupid questions! x

When I turn P out she is just interested in grass, but she keeps one eye on me - but then I go "come on" and run up the track next to the field and she runs with me - awwwwwwwwwww

Watching them.

I can, and do, watch them for hours. My husband calls them our Equine Aquarium.

Everything........

The most touching of all is that he choses to let me share his world! Not trying to sound cheesy but was having this conversation whilst hacking on saturday.

The fact that they let you hug then, fuss them, ride them etc.
As big beggars of beasts they could quite happily not let you!

I love cantering/galloping across a field feeling privaliged for being taken for the ride
