What do you pay for DIY livery?

We are in North Shropshire, we have very nice indoor stables, not the biggest but airy, huge wax surface school 60m x 30m with full set of showjumps, nearly all year turnout, prob Dec and Jan its limited and they arnt allowed on the fields but the owner rotates them on the school so they all get a leg stretch, that costs £25 pw you have to supply your own hay feed and bedding or for £30 pw the owner will either turn out in the morning or bring in at night - she will feed am or pm for free :)

£25 a week, for **** grazing, a stable with rats that run through the roofs and all mares and geldings together. I also pay £25 to be b*tched about and have to listen to other people b*tching, being snotty and just plain rude! (I'm mainly talking about the y/o's WONDERFUL, knows everything about horses (apparently), lovely new lady.

But that is another story - can't tell that the situation winds me up at all can you? Hehe ;)

But before 'it' arrived it was a lovely yard, for £25, loads of hacking, a rideable school with floodlights and better grazing and lovely liveries!

(btw I'm allowed to rant, I'm hoping to move before summer lol, i shan't take this any longer!)

Nottinghamshire Area, pay £27 per week per horse, have 4 so do get discount, should be £32, but for that get nice big stables, indoor, but well ventilated, own large field, good grazing, 40x60 outdoor school, floodlite, horsewalker, secure parking for lorry £2 per week, hay and straw available to buy and is dropped in for you, feed and shaving you get yourself, always somebody on the yard.......Share with another livery who has one, so she does the turnout in the morning and I fetch in and provide haylage as payment, works really well......

Devon Area £25 / week DIY, includes stable all year round turnout, use of school, rug warmer, rug washer, access to fantastic hacking, nice small yard with only 9 other fellow liveries.

No bedding, feed, hay included.

All this and no horse yet!!! :D

£96 (for 2) includes x2 paddocks for rotation, use of a stable/tie up area for grooming etc (if keeping in over night then £25 p/w per pony), includes a corner of the barn for my feed/rugs/hay etc on pallets. Also have a corner of locked tack room for my many, ever growing items.

i pay £45 a week for a large airy stable with auto water drinkers, all year turnout (seperate mare and gelding fields), ad-lib hay / haylidge / straw , large all weather school with full set of jumps, fabulous off road hacking, owner lives on site so 24/7 supervision.

Im in Cheshire and pay £60pw per horse. This is for stable, adlib hay or haylage, indoor school, outdoor school, solariums, horsewalker, wash bays and being fed in the morning. Straw and shavings are extra.
No T/O in winter although in summer we can choose between individual paddocks or large group turnout field. There are always clinics and lessons on site and the yard is friendly and easy to get to so its worth it for me :)

£60pw for DIY is alot, where are you?

£100 a month without any services or hay/straw.
All year turn out and 24/7 in summer. Good sized brick built stables.
Excellent hacking straight from yard and silica sand school (floodlit).
Toilet, kitchen, secure tackroom and lots of storage.

On the Luton/Herts/Beds border.

My livery pays me £100pcm. Its a private yard with just her horse and mine.

That includes stable, private tack/feed room and space in the barn. Day time turn out in the winter and 24/7 in the summer. Also use of the school and show jumps as required. Hacking is OK, but with a fair bit of roadwork.

I also turn out and bring in (daily check in the summer) as required for free and will do the odd days\weekends mucking out etc (if they are happy to reciprecate if I am away for a night or something).

I charge an extra £20 per week or £3 per day for mucking out/looking after the horse (no riding!) if needed regularly, or for more than a couple of days at a time.

Last yard I paid £25 per week per horse. This was for stable, one acre paddock per horse with good elec fencing. Rubber outdoor floodlit school and good hacking. 4 to a tack room and feed room. Good yard areas - concrete or hard standing.

I now pay £25 per week for two, for sharing a private owners facilities which is about 14 acres, 2 stables (we have 4 horses between is and they all live out now) 2 field shelters, excellent hacking, no school.

West Norfolk.

We pay extra for haylage 6p a lb, and £50 for a heston bale of straw. Oh and we have a menage too, tack room, rug room and feed room.
For my little shettie I get a deal of £5 a week 24/7 turnout. Hay the same 6p a lb.

We are by far the cheapest around here though, DIY can be up to £60 a week :). Floodlights in school are £1 an hour though on a meter.

I'm in the Manchester area and I pay £18 p/wk which includes large, light and airy indoor stable, summer turnout 24/7, good winter turnout on alternate days, outdoor arena and soon to be built indoor arena.
I pay for straw seperately at £3 p/bale and £35 for a decent sized and good quality haylage bale.

Im in South Bucks and pay £122 a month thats includ wormer or a worm count, field, school, lunge pen and xc jumps and a jumping paddock. Off road hacking, secure tack room. toilets and a tea room. Bedding and haylage is bought from the yard. I use cardboard now and go though 4-5 bales a month at £5.10 and about £30-40 of hayalge.

£300.00 per month during Oct to April, but that's for two horses.

Summer time it £85.00 per horse from April to Oct, however I buy my hay on top of this price, it's reduced becaus they are then out 24/7 (should you choose) and obviously hay is not included, it's just your grazing and stable.

So the winter DIY includes:-

My own field
Stable per horse
Good quality straw (you can use as much as you want)
Good quality hay (not sure how many large square bales I go through to be honest as he just brings his tractor round and tops me up, I don't keep count)
Water
Outdoor flood lit school, use of a few jumps.
Bringing in weekdays/rug change and weekends (as I turn out in mornings but usually I bring in on weekends as well as I'm at the yard all day)
Wormers
