I'm Surrey and currently paying £4.25 a bale! This is for soft meadow hay that smells lovely....as this is what my cob will only eat.......wish I could afford to be so fussy!

Do know it's comeing in at a premium,as where I keep my cob is a feed merchants as well, and they have it comeing in from all over Europe......so hence the costs, due to this Summers cr*p weather!

I pay £3 a bale meadow hay delivered by the farmer around the corner, which is beautiful.

I also feed bails haylege at £5.20 for a small, bale I use 2 a week.

£3 a bale for really nice sweet-smelling hay (was £2 a bale last year, delivered, just as nice... there's inflation for you!), £1 a bale for straw for keeping our strawberries nice and warm all winter... this is in South Lincs.

I pay £1 a bale for straw (it smells of cows though

I'm in Suffolk and pay £3.00 per small bale of very nice hay from very reputable hay producer. Dont have straw but we do sometimes have haylage which is £5.90 from feed merchant.

I'm in Cheltenham and pay 20 per bale for big bale haylage & 10 for big bale straw. Around here I know people paying 2.50 for small bales straw and between 3-4.50 for small bale hay. Small bale haylage tends to be between 5.50-6.50.

£2.50 collected for beautiful soft non dusty meadow hay (collected) and £25 for a big bale of hayledge. Straw I can get If I so wished for £1 a bale, again very nice yellow clean straw.

Anything from £3.50 to £4.50 for hay depending where we go (Surrey), and just paid £35 each for some rounds (£25 last year).

During uni term time I'm in glos and pay £4 a month for straw and £7 for haylage (as much as I want).
