What do you prefer

Hi

Been a lurker for a while and now have come up against a problem and not sure which way to go wondered what you would do?

Have been at a yard for 5 years, big yard with lots of horses and lots of good friends, can always find some one to ride and hack with, but over the years the facilities have gone a bit down hill and I one thing I would want in a yard is decent manarge as I like my schooling and its not looking like this is going to be fixed in the near future.

I have been offered a stable with another livery on a small yard with a fab manarge, the downside is I will be on my own mostly as the other livery is not around much.

Im just wondereing if I will be lonely, I would love the fact I have a decent manarge, I have transport so can meet my friends to hack at weekends.

What would you choose?

Friends or a decent school?

Decent school. You don't need friends to hack out with but a decent school is a must? Unless your horse is a nutcase who can't hack out alone

Im not great on hacking out on my own but then Iv never really had to, dont really think it will be a problem

In this case i would go for the school, if your horse is happy to hack alone i'm sure you can adapt to being lonely for a little bit

surely you could make friends at other local yards or put an advert asking for a hacking partner???
