what do you sing to your horse? happy post!!!

Around Christmas the poor boy has to listen to Christmas Carols/Songs/anything even vaguely Christmassy. For the rest of the year, he likes the Beatles, the Beach Boys and Raindrops Keep Falling on my Head! I also sing You Are My Sunshine to him, as well as You Belong To Me for when I really miss my old boy and wish he was still out hacking with us.

Can't sing for toffee, but do it all the same, I go for feel good songs, for some reason I sing my favourite song to my Trotter X, some of the lyrics are, it's you I found at the end of my rainbow, very apt, I make my nervous niece sing nursery rhymes and am about to start on xmas carols

Yay, I'm not the only one lol..
That song along with pharell Williams " happy " are the two songs that replay in my head when riding lol.
I sing whatever is stuck in my head at the time. Though recently I've taken to singing 'Shake it Off' by Taylor Swift at competitions, I think it makes us both feel better!

Mine is a paradoy of gangham style by Bart Baker....(has lots of horsey references) Todays vocals being my first ride on him in over 4months went along the lines of...well lets just say not repeatable on the forum.....I think he had fun & everything was an excuse to squeal & buck & jog sideways!!! I cannot believe how unfit I am...my whole upper body aches..waiting for the thighs to ache tomorrow...!! Was good to be riding again:-D

I love a good show tune, Les Mis' mostly. 'Do you hear the people sing' fits lovely to a brisk walk. I love Tim MaGraw too for a change though, 'My Old Friend' makes me think of my dear departed girl.
I enjoy my singing, I'm out on the fen so you can see you are pretty much on your own except for those darn cyclists who sneak up on you, then snigger as they go by.

I tend to hum rather than sing, usually a medley of assorted Bond title songs. You Only Live Twice has been stuck in my head for over a month now...
