what do you spend on your horse?

Its been a year since ive owned my horse and i have been sorting out my finances and bills and was shocked to find out that ive spent £3460 this year on her! This is only her running costs and does not include all extras like competition fees, new rugs and tack and transport costs or vet bills.

ive scared myself now thinking thats a lot of money......but she is def worth it and has given me lots of fun this year.

anybody else add it up??? and scare themselves

About 2k too, including the extras ie.brushes but does not include farrier so around 2,500€ roughly.

Closer to 2 1/2 K a year and I have 2 so double everything.

Don't even want to think about it, I have three. Not bothered though as I don't go out drinking (drink in the house instead! lol) and very rarely buy myself anything.

I hate these kind of posts as they make me do quick calculations on cost - Taf currently costs £700+ per month and the filly about £200 not including vets fees or eqpt

Unless you count last year and then can add at £3.5k vet bill on top!

I have 2 horses who have everything they need (and probably a bit more!!

) but I don't have kids,don't go to the pub etc and work bloody hard to earn my money so don't feel guilty about it either!!
