Just got an email threw from a company.

Was reading threw the information and then I came across this "HORSES ARE GENERALLY TERMED OLD WHEN THEY REACH 16"

Do you agree with this?
If Yes - Why?

Personally i wouldn't call a horse old at the age of 16 old!! Yes may be getting older but not old. My Welsh D who is 16 acts like a 3year old TB some days you would never think he was a mature 16 year old!!

Just wanted to know other peoples views.

Thanks In Advance

My boy at 19yrs old would be very offended to be considered old. He hasn't changed in the 9 yrs I've owned him!!

My 37yr old Fjordy X wouldnt agree! She, although unable to be ridden, still gallops around the field like shes 5 again! Even has herself a 4yr old boyfriend!

My mare is 20yrs old and looks very good for it so I am often told, people don't think she is that age. She is not old to me, she is getting older for sure but I would not class her as old old if you get my meaning. She acts like a 4year old out riding some days! :D

Awwww bless, sounds the same as my boy. Yes he is getting older but never ever would i class him as old!! x

Def not old at 16. Many top level event horses still compete at 4* over the age of 16! I think horses used to be classified as old at this age because people wernt as knowledgeable about horses as we are now, and therefore horses didn't live as long. I think its mad that veteran class's in showing are over 16. I dont class a horse as being old until its well into its 20's
