Thanks x

Working hunter/working riding horse if he jumps, hack/riding horse/hunter depending on his movement, but for that height he would be an ideal riding horse or ladies hunter :)

*drool*
He's stunning! Lovely looking lad, such a handsome face!
I'd probably have small hunter in mind for him as he looks like he might make the right sort of height/weight. Obviously you can do the youngstock classes with him whilst he's a baby, and see how he matures.
You must be so excited!!

He can sure jump!!

thanks guys, i thought so too :) for local level though (which is what we will start at) i was thinking just standard hunter classes, or maybe tb x classes if there is any xx

small working hunter, small show hunter I would say, he's not 'refined' enough for 'riding horse' imo, please don't take that personally he's lovely but riding horse is a class you would usually find anglo arabs in if you get my meaning. You could also probably do riding club horse. good luck with him, he does look a nice stamp and i'm sure you'll have loads of fun on him.

Have just seen the jumping pic and he's got a lovely shape there, definately a working hunter in the making in my opinion!

Take him local as he will be dwarfed at county level. The 3 year old led hunters at county shows will be around 16.2.

Lots of riding clubs do led hunter classes. Chop 2 foot off his tail, trim him legs, pull his mane and make sure you can do a neat plait job, sorry but whiskers off too.

Make sure he leads well and trots out. You will need a plain chunky hunter bridle to show him in. Teach him to stand up, almost square, forehand out and head away from his neck.

Have fun, he is a nice lad.
