I think the Irish Draught x TB is fantastic. And if you want an amazing jumping pony Connemara's are fantastic. Cross Connemara with TB and you can get a great jumping horse, but a small horse.
Wow, this post just screams 'I'm Irish and totally biased!'hee hee
I brought mine from a SJing yard, and she only dealt with Irish horses, but a majority of them have warmblood/continental bloodlines there too. I like something with Irish in as they tend to be a bit tougher and have a pony like quality...
My Mum is buying my sister a horse around December time so i thought ide get her to buy something i can jump as i dont think my boy will do the height i want to do.
Id love to be able to jump newcomers and maybe upto 1.15m tracks, who knows maybe Fox too if i get a good enough horse.
(and im brave enough
)
I dont think my boy would jump any higher than 1.00m rounds. I do plan on finding out over the winter though. Im going to go out and jump on a couple of tickets to get a feel for the BSJA world before i go ahead and affiliate.
