i love my connie x tb, but i also have 2 american paint x who are brilliant! one is APxnew forest & is quite chunky & the other is tbxAP & much finer.
Well since one of our new horses has arrived i've thought anglo arab,he has been perfect since he came, i rode him out in a storm with hailstones etc on sunday for the 1st time and he didn't put a foot wrong, such a fun ride! I think welsh x arabs are also a fab cross,my old pony went hunting at the age of 22 the other day and she was just the same as when she was 8!!!! A true pro in the field and knows her job, she's only 14.1hh max and has jumped hedges bigger than herself in the past.
I always liked Anglo Arabs (also pure Arabs, but I'm too tall for them).
ID x Tbs - I've ridden a lot, but had all my nastiest falls off this cross - the real unpredictable ones, although they are nicely built in terms of conformation, the temperament is often rather quirky.
CB x Tb - wouldn't have one as a gift - nutters, all.
Welsh D x Tb - fantastic all round fun (again, I'm too tall
).
Connie x Tb - lovely types for teenagers especially
Now I've said what I like I'll confess to owning a Shire x Tb (very powerfully built, quite active) and a Bavarian x Tb (laid back but moves nicely).
Have to say, I have a Welsh D x WB for sale at the mo and she has got a very impressive brain when it comes to jumping so thinking if you get the best of both breeds (as opposed to the stubborn side of both!!) this could be quite a good cross too.
Would love to see what the fell x TB looks like - bet he/she's a stunner!
I looked everywhere for one of those - they're as rare as hens teeth! Where did you get yours from?

He was bred in Somerset by a tb stallion out of a tb x fell mare. His dam died when he was a foal, so he was the only one they bred.
I bought him from my friend who bought him thinking he was tb x connemara but when they contacted his breeders found out he was actually part fell.
I've reached the conclusion that what you get when you cross a tb and a fell is an opinionated git who thinks he's a racehorse, so maybe you shouldn't be too disappointed if you can't find one! (I love him to bits really though
A mostly tb with a touch of something else, wherether it be a native pony, or something irish draft like.
Although im wth millitiger on this one , i like my full tb's
Anything with a bit of Welsh. One friend has a 1/2 welsh x 1/4 id x 1/4 tb who is a fab riding club type who would do a lot more if she had the time and another has a 1/2 welsh x 1/4 tb x 1/4 warmblood who is an intermediate eventer. They are both so intelligent and capable but so willing and pleased to work and both very chilled. They hack like trekking ponies with nothing bothering them. They are both 16.2 + as well so a great size. Having said that my old Sec D was the most excitable and stubborn old git I've ever come across.
well, i would have probably agreed with IDxTB (never had one always had pure TBs, but looked after one for a long time and he was lovely). However, since getting my new one, i'd have to say CobxTBxArab (she's 12.5% arab), i know its a random one, but she's absolutely fab!
welshx TB great show horses
Conn xTB or IDxTB great hunters
Connx ID great cobs
Shire xTB brilliant riding horses (1 of the best jumpers I have ever ridden is a one of these)
and as for the welshXarab what more fun could you ask for !!!
