Just come back from doing stage II riding exam (thanks for well wishes!!) and the jumping was the best I hae ever done on both horses, so happy with this

- but the riding on the flat was not brill... had a very lazy first horse and also lost stirrup in canter in full view of judge (ooops)

did not hear the comander say all go back to walk when cantered on each rein (bug*er), so I kept on cantering like an idiot, then work w/o stirrups was on a really long backed horse with a jolting rhythm and looked like I was rowing with my hands??

The open field ride was ok. Shall we do bets on whether I have passed or not?

Got to wait 10 looooong days now.

You always do better than you think you have done. I had convinced myself I had failed my stage 2 care on the lunging and my riding, so when 2 certificates arrived in the post I was a bit shocked! I'm sure you have done fine

You have to remember that the examiner can see the type of horse you are riding too. They may give you extra points because you sat so well on such a bouncy horse. They know what they are doing!

oliversfriend and annie, thats for your words of confidence!! The horse was a slug and other rider was slow on her too, so fingers crossed.
