What do you think of bates saddles?

Hi, im thinking about getting a new saddle & wanted to know what you all think of Bates saddles?

I love may bates. I probably only bought it for versatility ( a number of young horses). That said it is very comfy and secure and it is wearing very well.

Very well made, super comfy saddles! that said, they are made on the same tree as wintec and as such have the sam problems with banana shaped tree. Basically if your horse is average build, average wither and forward, not prominent shoulders then they may well fit! Worth getting your saddler to bring some out as if they fit they are very nice

Love mine....have a Wintec dressage saddle and a bates Jump one and think they're both fab! x

just purchased a bates comign from a wintec which was to banana shaped but the bates jump is a completely different shape ! and so fits my cob much better! so far so good!

I loved mine, and found it terribly comfortable. I only changed it because it really didn't suite my TB type horse.

It looks nice, until you changer the gullet. Then you can see ho badly made they are.

I won't buy another personally. There is a lot better out there for the money IMO

I do love mine, it is super comfy and smart, however am not convinced the pone does. She seems to prefer my less well fitting synthetic. Have saddler back next weekend so am going to discuss this with her.

I've just gone from a wintec to a bates caprilli vsd and i thinks its fab, so comfy i could ride in it all day, and fits the horse really well. Since ive had it the horse goes so much better. Well worth the heart attack when i saw the price tag.

Well I bought 1! & I love it!! I got a 4 yr old sec d & he just been broken in so thought he's going to change shape alot so thought it would be ideal. It fits him so much better then the maxam fish I had & its so comfy!
