Nooooooooo! I'm only 21 but like the traditional attire and I love wearing my show breeches as it makes the event/comp feel all that more special!
I to notice how little people plait or actually make any effort at all when going to competitions now. I know we all have very little time but I think it really adds to the atmosphere when people scrub up and make an effort!
I do agree that some of the pros look great in the dark breeches but you can guarantee that if it was rolled out for everyone, people would be turning up in all sorts, would look scruffy and I reckon general standards would drop....it would look like a mass sponsored ride!
I just get really excited every time I soak my breeches in vanish for days then fold them neatly back in my drawer for the next competition (maybe I'm very sad though!)
