what do you think of market harboroughs, usefull or not?

Just wondered if anyone found them good or better than draw reins for example. Are they helpfull for showing a horse the way, i am not a big gadget fan mind.
 
MY ID cros had the thickest neck out, he would always raise his head and set his neck when excited/ anxious.
I hacked and schooled him in one all last winter, the pressure is only applied when you take a firmer hold on the reins
he went really well in it, reduced the thickness of his neck and his head carriage is now much lower.
i only use a standard running martingale now.
i would give it a go.

they are very useful i find when schooling babys who need a bit more encouragement or guidance, or horses that just generally fight against you by throwing their head up
