Does he need a bit more behind?

Difficult to tell because his back leg is forward.

But looks good to me, essentially. And in wonderful condition.

As amymay says, it is difficult to tell exactly without a photo of him stood still. He looks quite lean and "hunting fit" to me.

That was about as stood still as I could get!! Will try to Take another one tonight or tomorrow. Thanks for the condition comment – amazing what a lack of brushing can achieve lol
:)

Do you know what - I've just realised I am looking at the picture on a widescreen monitor! Haha, so horse is probably not as lean as I first thought.

Whoops.

Why do you ask, has someone criticised him? He seems fine to me. No wobbly obese bits and no bones sticking out in places they shouldn't.

Nope, but I question that he perhaps looks like he needs a bit more behind! I think he looks OK, but looking at that pic questioned whether he needs a bit more :)

Ahh thank you both that is really nice to hear! As I said I was a bit worried he was on the leaner side of lean - will just keep going then :)

He looks fine to me, you should be able to feel ribs but not see them, he is in lovely condition and just looks fit and lean to me not skinny in any way, with the grass coming through as well you wouldn't want to put too much on

Yep, he is a perfect condition! There is a huge ammount of horses that fat and their owners dont know/ dont want to know about it! It is lovely to see a horse at the correct condition.

Thank you so much :) I will stop looking at him and worrying now :)

Hopefully post some ridden pics after this weekend :)
