What do you think of Re-Leve and Equi Jewel?

Been playing on Manage my Horse and been contacting feed companies for advice on feeding my mare. Saracen have contacted me recommending Re-Leve and possibly Equi-Jewel; I've never used Saracen feeds before so I was wondering if anyone on here uses them and what you think?

Its for a 16.2hh TBx, poor doer, very fizzy and reacts badly to cereals.

Equi Jewel is amazing and I cannot recommend it highly enough! I even wrote to Saracen and told them so, and my letter is published on their website.

A racing friend told me about it and I tried it with trepedation (a lot of money to shell out). BUT I would never use anything else now. I give all of mine one cup a night. It is rice based, and non heating. It took about a week to get my stressy, lean lad looking like he had a decent covering over his ribs.

I've never tried the other one you mentioned, but Saracen feeds are a good make and use high quality ingredients. A lot of racing yards and studs swear by them.

I'm a fan of Equi-jewel too. Our yard uses Saracen throughout, but with individual diets for some very different horses - warmbloods competing in affiliated dressidge, a showjumping mare that has had azoturia, an arab with a history of laminitis and ours - an american quarter horse which regularly goes to 2-3 day shows.
Our mare is quite light framed for a QH so we wanted a diet that would give her a bit of bulk for showing without making her 'overtopped' and help to keep the weight on when she's travelling. The advice was to give her a week of Equijewel in the run up to a show in addition to the show pencils she has every day. It's been brilliant - she looks an absolute picture tho we're near the end of the season, has loads of stamina but is very calm and trainable. She has a good appetite anyway but eats for Britain on this stuff.
There's only one (possible) downside - their coat and hooves grow like mad, so the farrier is on a strict five week call out, and I have to keep trimming and pulling for her to stay tidy for showing!

Yep, Equi-jewel is fab. I have my old boy (retired, poor-doer) on it. I use one cup twice a day so I think a bag lasts around 5 weeks. Other people on the yard use other Saracen feeds as well - Show improver, and are very happy, good quality feeds.

I use both with my boy. Last winter he was ill and lost a lot of weight so was put on a diet of 1.5kg of re-leve with 500g equijewel twice daily and seriously after only a couple of weeks he was looking fab. Plus as releve is completely fibre based it doesn't heat them up. He now has 1kg of re-leve twice daily and he has energy to go out and compete or hack out all day plus looks great, but isn't stressy or highly strung. He'll probably have equijewel again in winter, but to be honest he may not need it as the re'leve is doing a fab job on my normally boney boy

Thanks guys - it was the Equi Jewel in particular I was interested in and will be giving it a go based on this!

had mine on equijewel and releve last winter. in the end he changed onto outshine and topspec cool condition cubes as outshine is a bit higher in calories, but he did look pretty good on the saracen stuff and it didn't make him silly.
