what do you think of these boxes

Both sound nice, not sure about the first one that has 3 forward facing partitions, mine is forward facing and i can only fit 2. Might be worth checking if you are thinking of carrying 3 however the weight might then be an issue anyway.

They both look very nice for the price, depending on the age of the chassis that is.

Prefer the Leyland DAF, sold my Cargo as I just could not get hold of parts for it. Am still finding it relatively easy to get parts for the DAF I now have. It does'nt state what age the DAF is?

7.5k is a lot to pay for the Cargo an F Reg vehicle - just my opinon thou!

the DAF although very nice might be a bit heavy..check its pay load, as Oak is a really heavy wood, and a toilet can add a lot of weight too..water usage etc..

the cargo...don't even bother!

I am only planning on travelling 3 and I do also prefer the second one the Daf, I called the people about the daf and the whole interiour and exteriour has been re-vamed and the Chasie is a 1990 so 19years old. Is this old for a horse box?
I do really like the look of it so far

The Ford is overpriced for what it is, I don't care how tidy it is inside, its still 20 years old! (Sold our B reg for 2K this year).

The DAF would be better, although no idea of age? We have bought an Iveco this year and they seem to be very popular. I wouldn't be too hasty with buying one, just keep an eye on all the websites, and the right one will pop up - but move fast as everyone will want it! Bought ours thay day after it was advertised

3 what?...what sizes?

3 horses of 16.2 would on average, with associated tack, water etc be around 2.250 Tons...so unleaden the DAF would need to be less than 5.250T, preferably no more than 5.1T to allow for a bit of lee-way...

Ask them for a weighbridge cert...

and bear in mind its a DAF 45/130 as opposed to the 45/150...
the 45/150 has a bit more engine power if you do find its able to carry 3..

be very carefull as there are a lot of 7.5 tonne horsebox that do not have the payload to carry 1 horse let alone 2 or 3.

As other have said weight it. I would want to see it weighted as poeple have been known to take partitions etc out when its being weighted.

I would say these are both over priced.

Have you thought about a two horse 6.5 tonne? they normaly have a better payload and are cheaper.

Absolutely agree about the weights, I doubt either could legally carry 3 horses. Really need to get that bit checked out. If you had to decide between these, I would go for the Leyland.
