What do you think of these

No idea, but it doesn't strike me as very pleasant for a horse to have to walk around with a bit of dead animal in its mouth?! I know the rest of their tack is leather, but they don't have to taste that. Can't see them liking the taste of leather. Think I'll be sticking with a nice happy mouth personally :)

ghostie that was what i was thinking my mum sent me the link but they just seem so bizarre and will be sticking to normal bits :P

Leather is actually very kind on a horse's mouth, we used one many moons ago for a very fussy horse and it worked a treat. I think leather is preferable to plastic that can be chewed easily and become sharp, some horses simply don't like metal. Leather is moist and malleable in the mouth and I'm sure horses don't equate it with something dead.

I'm sure when I read Pat Smythe's biography, she said she/her mother used leather bits for breaking..

Never seen any before tho!

My only worry would be that it would crack and not being able to clean it properly could be a problem any other viewas?
