What do you think of this horse...

i like him! from his pictures the only thing i can see is that he is slightly over the knee, however if it doesn't effect him then i would go for it!

Yes, he's a little over at the knee but a very nice lad otherwise in my (rubbish) eyes!

I know there was a youngster on our yard who grew out of being over at the knee when he bulked up and his hooves improved, bizarre as this sounds...? Speak to your vetting vet and see if he thinks it's something that could be improved with proper hoof balancing, perhaps?

Nice but he is quite over at the knee, not a fault I would like in something looking to hunt and event with. Bit too much of a risk for that work load imo.

Absolutely not a clue about confo but what a pretty face! He looks really kind

Haha I'm sorry this is of no use to you!

i really dont think its right to critisize someone elses horse as this person does not know

i would be very upset if someone done this to a horse i was selling!!if you owned it fair enough

Well I am going to see him tomorrow, so we'll see. Will take plenty of photos.

I am not too worried about slight conformation faults; heck, my last mare had one leg shorter than the others (Lady); that didn't stop her!!!

If I do like him, he will have a 5 stage vetting obviously.

Im not mad about the bay horse. However being (a bit) over at the knee is not as bad as people seem to think here. For one, in a hunter/eventer its preferable to back t the knee as will give less chance of a tendon injury due to hyperextension and less chance of carpal chip fractures - 2 of the more common forelimb injuries. i know a number of the best trainers in britainand ireland lookfor horses ovr at the knee when buying yearlings at the sales.

ooh how exciting!

Keep a level head ask a lot of questions and make sure you really try and work out what his temperament is.

Then we would love to see the pictures.

I have noticed that on here when asked to assess a horse there is always a lot of well meant but negative comments, I would bear them in mind however not put too much emphasis on them.

The last horse that I saw as a potential purchase put on by another member on here was really slated, I knew the horse it was a gem, the type that is really hard to find. Now that may or may not be the case here, so go with your eyes wide open and good luck.

I like the look of him, and i agree with glenruby, i mainly hunt and event and i think over at the knee can be useful. let us know how it all goes.

I think he looks lovely and wouldn't let the slight conformation faults that have been pointed out put you off.

Nice and short coupled, could have a powerful jump. Interested to know what his paces are like.

Good Luck Tomorrow!

I really like him. His breeding would make him 1/2 TB, 1/4 ID and 1/4 CB, so he'll always be a fairly chunky boy I would imagine.
Conformation fine apart from the 'over at knee' which as others have already said - isn't the most major fault on the planet.
Good luck

Fiona
