What do you think of this horse?

looks lovely nice jump etc allthough alot of people dont buy a horse over the age of 13 but some prefer to so im sure he will sell like a flash i would buy him hehe if i was a bit bigger :p

thats what i said :D told my friend if he was 8 years old and 16.3hh he'd be mine :p

personally i think he's lovely, but i was just wondering what other people think

she's an okay rider, she is good, but low confidence at times, however once she feels confident with a horse she is 10 times better, needs work with jumping etc. she's about the same height as me, 5'9" and is about 10 stone, she is looking for something about 16hh, but isnt too bothered on height.

just in case anyone likes horse hunting :D

I just had a quick gander at the advert, and the one of the horse jumping the cross country fence looks like a place I have competed at called Hackthorn. That's on the intermediate course and the photo does the jump no justice, it is a rather decent trakhener with poor ground lines. So, in my opinion, he's a good honest little man to jump that! xx :)

This may be a little bit too much horse for her in that case.

Yep it definitely is Hackthorn, I have a photo of me over the same jump! It's the intermediate course, and as courses go, I would say that it isn't one of the easiest courses in this area. It's a really nice course, but there are some trickier elements, some decent and scarey fences, and I would say that the intermediate there is crossed between intermediate and open level. Definitely worth a look if you ask me. Tell your friend if she gets him, she will be fine around cross country! xx :)

:D

Looks like a nice horse, with a nicely shaped jump, my own query would be the napping issue with someone who lacks confidence, having been there and done it with my horse through her teenage years, it nearly saw me off horses, and I wasn't lacking confidence to start with! Thankfully now all worked through and confidence back up there!! But be sure as to what the horse does when it naps..... But definately worth a look.

the ad says fine in company though, and i know my friend would never hack on her own anyway, but i do know what you mean, i wouldn't want any horse to knock her confidence :)

rudey - any idea how high the fence is? thanks :)

Yeah possibly, it might be that they geuinely care more about his home than the price, or they understand how bad the market is for selling at the moment. Just seems too good to be true. Worth a look though. :D

yeah, i know what you mean, i did think he was a good price, but just assumed it was because of the market - thanks though, it just means she'll have to be catious - though at this rate it'll be me coming home with him because i think he's lush! :D

Gorgeous horse. although it does only say he is better in company not perfect. Personally i think thats probably why price is lower and yeah the market is rubbish. nice to see they have been honest in the advert tho about napping makes a nice change...
Wish i was looking for a horsey or had money for another!!

errrrmmmmm, now you're asking me! It is not huge in height, I would say between 2'9" and under 3foot, but the ditch is pretty wide, and like I said, it has no ground line whatsoever. Not the nicest jump ever. To me the horse looked confident over it, which is reassuring! I think the intermediate course there is 3 foot, as I jumped that and the open, and the open is up to 3'3 to 3'6 I think depending which you go in.

I haven't got a photo of me doing the intermediate photo on this computer, but this is a photo of me doing the open trakhener there, I cacked myself, excuse the position, I was hanging on for dear life lol!

Thats what i thought; tis very nice they were honest.
Haha, i know what you mean, this horse is supposed to be for a friend, but i think i've fallen in love :D

Definitely worth a look but I would echo some of the comments made already re 'confidence'. Does your friend have any experience with TBs? Altho the ad states he is fine in company any horse can 'try it on' with a new rider and TBs are decidely sharper thinkers than many other breeds. Hope she finds what she's looking for :)

haha, don't worry about your position, :D we've all been there :p

thanks for the youtube video :)

just thankyou for everything :p

(i'm starting to wonder if this is the post that has the most "thanks" and "thankyou's" :p )

she has experiance on the ground with them as she often looks after my retired lad, who takes the piss, but i dont think she has really ridden a TB, but i think she could manage, but would maybe need a few lessons, just to get used to him, also i'd be happy to help in any way, and by no means am i experianced or an expert, but i have managed quite well with my lot, and i have 2 TB's (im just saying this because i really want her to buy him so i can steal him :D )
thank you :) me too, :D
